PENN STATE SHENANGO, Sharon, Pa.
The Penn State Shenango Alumni Society has pledged $25,000 to support the $9.4 million Sharon Hall and Lecture Hall renovation project. Since its inception in 1992, the Penn State Shenango Alumni Society has donated nearly $80,000 to the Shenango campus in student scholarship support and other programs. It also has taken an active role in the admissions process, hosting parent information night each spring, and in commencement ceremonies, which are held every winter and spring.
OTTERBEIN COLLEGE, Westerville, Ohio
Chaz O'Neil, son of Rosalia Hakin of Hartford and Michael O'Neil, was selected to have some of his artwork displayed in the college's juried student art exhibition. O'Neil, a 2002 graduate of Badger High School, is a senior art major.
ASHLAND UNIVERSITY, Ashland, Ohio
Michael Hartz, son of Gregory and Teresita Hartz of Nottingham Drive, Austintown, has been named a co-leader for Community Service. The program is designed to expand students' social and educational experiences, as well as to create an atmosphere of lifelong service to the community and an understanding of social responsibility.
JOHN CARROLL UNIVERSITY, Cleveland
Jessica Struharik, daughter of Patricia and Robert Struharik of Boardman, has been chosen for induction into the Eta Eta chapter of Lambda Pi Eta. The official National Communication Association Honor Society of the National Communication Association recognizes, fosters, and rewards outstanding scholastic achievement in communication studies.
