"James Brown, Say It Proud" (8 p.m., CNN): On the weekend of what would have been James Brown's 74th birthday, CNN tells the story of the man raised in a brothel who then rose to become the Godfather of Soul. On "James Brown, Say It Proud," CNN correspondent Don Lemon interviews the Rev. Al Sharpton, music legends Little Richard and Bootsy Collins, and Usher (who considered Brown a mentor) as well as family members, business manager Charles Bobbit and biographer Bruce Tucker.
"A Stranger's Heart" (9 p.m., Hallmark Channel): After a workaholic magazine writer undergoes a heart transplant, she learns her former breakneck pace no longer suits her. Living with a new heart, Callie (Samantha Mathis) finds romance with another heart transplant patient (Peter Dobson). But another relationship intrigues her: a curious attachment to a young girl whose mother happens to be Callie's heart donor. The film is part of a Hallmark Channel campaign to increase awareness for organ donation.
