Accident closes I-80

AUSTINTOWN — Both westbound lanes on Interstate 80 were shut down from state Route 46 to the turnpike for more than an hour today as a result of an accident that involved two tractor-trailers and a car, according to the Canfield post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The crash at Milepost 220, just west of the Meander Reservoir bridge, occurred at 8:37 a.m. Both lanes were open by 9:49 a.m. No serious injuries were reported and the cause of the crash is under investigation, the patrol said.
