Cortland man faces charges of firing gun
WARREN A 24-year-old Cortland man faces charges after police arrested him late Friday in the firing of a handgun near people in an apartment complex on Roberts Street Northwest and at a man.
Daryl T. McBride was placed in Trumbull County Jail, and he will have a hearing Monday morning in Warren Municipal Court. Police charged him with being a felon in possession of a firearm, discharging a firearm within the city limits, aggravated menacing and using weapons while intoxicated.
Police said they arrested him at a house on Garden Street Northwest where he ran after firing the gun several times.
Witnesses told police McBride and another man argued earlier Friday night, and McBride returned later with a gun, threatening the man with it and firing shots at various locations, including at the man.
