Trumbull County 4-H Camp will be at Camp Whitewood



CORTLAND — This summer's Trumbull County 4-H Camp will be July 2–Aug. 4 at Camp Whitewood, in Windsor, Ashtabula County. The theme is a western one called "Whitewood Round Up".

Trumbull County 4-H camp is open to any young person between the ages of 9 and 14. Campers do not need to belong to 4-H.

Camp provides an outdoor classroom where young people learn skills in outdoor living, recreation, leadership development and decision-making.

Programs include educational and recreational activities such as fishing, canoeing, hiking, crafts, conservation, archery, riflery and swimming. Special programs include campfires, dances, a scavenger hunt, team activities and more.

Young people live in cabins with 10-12 campers and teen counselors.

Cost for camp is $200, which includes three meals a day and a snack, lodging in cabins with bunk beds, restrooms with flush toilets and showers nearby, and activities and crafts.
