POLICE CALLS
A summary of criminal activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:
April 16
Burglary: A 50-inch LCD television and a 56-inch LCD television were stolen from a home on Stoneybrook Lane. The owner called police and said the front door was damaged from being kicked in.
April 18
Unauthorized use of credit card: Charges were made to a woman's credit card. While the charges were credited and the account closed, the credit card company advised the Hunters Woods Boulevard woman to notify police.
April 20
Burglary: A motel room was broken into at the El Patio Motel, 485 W. Main St., and the tenant reports between $6,000 and $7,000 was stolen.
April 21
Drugs, paraphernalia, cultivation: A 19-year-old Canfield woman was arrested on charges of drug abuse, possession and drug paraphernalia at a home in the 400 block of Fairground Boulevard after police found three small bags of suspected marijuana, a grow light with clip, a suspected marijuana plant, rolling papers, a hemostat, packaging material, five suspected marijuana pipes and a rolling machine.
Criminal damaging: Two vehicles were shot at with a BB gun at a home in the 400 block of Shadydale Drive.
April 16
Theft: $35.98 in fuel was taken at Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: $36.74 in fuel was taken at Sheetz gas station.
Theft: $38.58 in fuel was taken at Sheetz gas station.
Theft: $31.16 in fuel was taken at Sheetz gas station.
Theft: $26.99 in fuel was taken at Sheetz gas station.
Theft: $39.63 in fuel was taken at Sheetz gas station.
Theft: $38 in fuel was taken at Sheetz gas station.
Theft: $40.38 in fuel was taken at Sheetz gas station.
Theft: $43.33 in fuel was taken at Sheetz gas station.
Theft: $46.05 in fuel was taken at Sheetz gas station.
Theft: $44 in gasoline was stolen from Sheetz gas station.
Drug offense: Police issued a Youngstown man a summons for possession of marijuana at the Econo Lodge, 54311/2 Seventy-Six Drive.
Theft: A wallet and prescriptions were stolen from a vehicle parked at I.T.T.,1030 N. Meridian Road.
Theft: Ten Duragesic patches were stolen from an apartment in the 800 block of North Meridian Road.
Theft: A flag holder was stolen from Brunstetter Cemetery.
Theft: Jewelry was taken from a home in the 300 block of South Edgehill Avenue.
Attempted burglary: An attempt to gain entry through the front door was made in the 60 block of Kenmar Court.
Breaking and entering: A male suspect was arrested for breaking into ATD, 460 N. Meridian Road.
April 17
Theft: $38.01 in fuel was taken at Sheetz gas station.
Theft: $28.03 in fuel was taken at Sheetz gas station.
Theft: $36.01 in fuel was taken at Sheetz gas station.
Attempted theft: Thieves tried to steal from an auto in the 100 block of Westminister Avenue.
April 18
Burglary: Jewelry was taken from a home in the 2000 block of Evelyn Road.
Theft: $20 in gasoline was stolen from Certified Oil, 825 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
April 19
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged in a parking lot at Sears, 6009 Mahoning Ave.
Auto theft: A 1989 GMC 1500 was stolen from the 100 block of South Meridian Road.
Theft: Miscellaneous women's and children's clothing was taken from the laundry room at apartments in the 1005 block of Compass West.
April 20
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged in the parking lot at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: $109.18 in fuel was stolen from Sheetz gas station.
Burglary: Cash and jewelry were stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Allendale Avenue.
Theft: License plates were stolen from a vehicle parked in the 1000 block of Ohltown Road.
Attempted burglary: An attempted burglary was reported at a home in the 1000 block of Laurie Drive.
Criminal damaging: A mailbox and Vindicator delivery box were damaged at a home in the 7000 block of Silica Road.
April 21
Theft: A checkbook and a Dell laptop computer were taken from a vehicle.
Theft: A compact disc player and CDs were stolen from an auto in the 100 block of Westminister Avenue.
Theft: Money was stolen at Spider's, 4215 Mahoning Ave.
April 22
Theft: A man was arrested for theft at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal damaging: Two tires were damaged at a home in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.
Criminal damaging: Furniture was damaged at an apartment in the 1000 block of Compass West apartments.
Criminal damaging: A window was damaged at Shiros International Hair Salon, 25 N. Niles-Canfiled Road.
Theft of mail: Mail with personal information was reported stolen at a home in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Court.
Criminal damaging: A car door and fender were damaged in the 1000 block of Compass West apartments.
