Victorian Christmas tour set in downtown Warren

WARREN — Visitors to downtown Dec. 3 will be able to experience the sights and sounds of a Victorian Christmas, as the city hosts its holiday walking tour from noon to 7 p.m.

This tour will feature historic sites along Mahoning Avenue, including the Land Title Office, the Perkins Mansion and the Kinsman House, which will all be decorated for the holidays.

Also, a collection of antique doors will be decorated and displayed in Women's Park, which is in front of city hall.

Guides in Victorian costume will provide light refreshments at most locations and holiday entertainment and displays will be featured at some of the sites.

The Land Title Office, which houses the Trumbull County Tourism Bureau, will feature gingerbread house displays made by local restaurants.

Tour participants will have an opportunity to win their favorite house by participating in a Chinese auction conducted by the bureau staff. Cost is 50 cents per ticket, three tickets for a $1 or an arm's length worth of tickets for $5. Auction proceeds will benefit the Warren Family Mission.

Cost for the walking tour is $5 per person. Children age 12 and under are free. The admission fee will entitle participants access to all sites included on the tour.
