A look back
The Mahoning Valley Historical Society is presenting historical suitcase presentations this week at local branches of the Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County.
What: Presentations examine the lives of the American Indians and pioneers who occupied the Mahoning Valley 200-300 years ago, and feature original artifacts, maps and hands-on reproductions of clothing, tools, games, jewelry and toys.
Cost: Events are free and open to the public.
When and where: Today, Campbell Library, 374 Sanderson Ave., 4 p.m.; Wednesday, Brownlee Woods Library, 4010 Sheridan Road, Youngstown, 4 p.m.; Thursday, South Library, 1771 Market St., 4 p.m.; and Poland Library, 311 S. Main St., 7 p.m.
