YSU event set for accounting students
YOUNGSTOWN Accounting students at Youngstown State University will get a chance to hear real world experiences in their chosen profession Friday.
The university's Accounting Advisory Committee of the Williamson College of Business Administration will have the 12th annual Accounting Student/Practitioner Day from 8:30 a.m. to 2:50 p.m. in Kilcawley Center's Presidential Suite.
The event will introduce accounting students to the real world of their field by featuring guest speakers in accounting professions. Sessions will be held throughout the day on topics such as nontraditional careers in accounting, accounting entrepreneurship and forensic accounting.
Students are required to dress in business attire for the event, and can register at the door before 8:30 a.m. Friday. The fee is $10.
Student/Practitioner Day is presented by the Department of Accounting and Finance, Beta Alpha Psi, the Institute of Management Accountants and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants' Student Ambassador.
