Westminster peace-studies series features veterans from Iraq War



NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. — The Westminster College Peace Studies Coffeehouse series features two Iraq War veterans at 4:15 p.m. Oct. 10 in the Berlin Student Lounge of the McKelvey Campus Center.

Army Reserve Majors Scott Mackenzie, Westminster assistant professor of theater, and Michael Teifke, who were deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, will talk about their experiences and answer questions from the audience. Mackenzie is assigned to the 99th Regional Readiness Command and Teifke is operations officer for the 402nd Quartermaster Battalion in New Castle, Pa.

The event is free and open to the public, said Sherri Pataki, Westminster College assistant professor of psychology and coordinator of this event. Members of the audience may submit questions anonymously to Pataki at patakisp@westminster.edu or may ask questions at the event. Call (724) 946-7361 for more information.
