Children report that man grabbed them
NORTH LIMA Beaver Township police say that four children ages 10 to 13 were approached by a man who grabbed their arms while they were at a football game Friday at South Range High School stadium.
Officer Dan Valentine, the juvenile detective and school resource officer at South Range, said the children told police they were playing when the man approached and grabbed their arms in separate situations.
The children described the man as white, about 27 years old, 6 feet tall and wearing a green hooded sweat shirt. Valentine said police searched for the man but he was not found.
Police made certain children were reunited with their parents after the encounters. South Range played Columbiana High on Friday at the stadium. Valentine noted that he presents the Stranger Danger program to schoolchildren, and that the children responded appropriately in this instance.
