South Sider arrested on gun, drug charges
YOUNGSTOWN — Kevin L. Jones, 26, of West LaClede Avenue was arrested on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, illegal possession of a weapon, drug trafficking and violation of the city's open container ordinance.
Police called to a report of gunshots in the area around 1 a.m. Tuesday said they found Jones standing in the street, drinking from a wine bottle.
After arresting him on the open container charge, they said they found a loaded .38-caliber revolver in his right rear pants pocket and the suspected bags of crack in his right front pants pocket. Jones was taken to Mahoning County jail and held for arraignment.
