Car accident claims life of third person
WARREN — A July 27 car accident on state Route 5 in Vernon Township has claimed a third life.
Amanda Allen, 16, of Cortland, died Thursday in St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, the Mahoning County Coroner's office reported.
Allen was the driver of a vehicle that crossed the center line, striking a vehicle driven by Richard Riegelman, 61, of Jamestown, Pa., who died in the crash. His wife, Wanda, 64, was taken to St. Joseph Health Center, Warren, where she later died.
A witness said Allen failed to negotiate a curve in the rain and her car appeared to fishtail out of control.
The Riegelmans owned the Pymatuning Lake Deer Park on state Route 58 in Jamestown, Pa.
