Mahoning County

A Mahoning County grand jury has indicted a Poland Township man on charges of unlawful possession of dangerous ordnance and illegal manufacture or processing of explosives. Scott Volovar, 29, of Greystone, a part-time Western Reserve Joint Fire District firefighter, was arrested by Poland Township police at his residence July 9 and charged with felony possession of pipe bomb materials. Volovar pleaded innocent in Struthers Municipal Court. The following indictments were also returned by the grand jury:

Joel Feliciano, 38, of Kendis Circle, three counts of cocaine possession with forfeiture specifications.

Anthony A. Volpini, 31, of Stadler Court, Boardman, assault.

Jamar Spivey, 21, of McBride Street, marijuana trafficking.

Anthony Anderson, 20, of Brooklyn Avenue, aggravated robbery with a firearm specification and bribery.

Kevin Johnson Jr., 20, of West Princeton Avenue, aggravated robbery with a firearm specification, intimidation of a witness and two counts of bribery.

Tara Williams, 34, of West Chalmers Avenue, cocaine possession.

Hamza A. Shakhatreh, 24, of Shields Road, Boardman, receiving stolen property.

Chad E. Deming, 35, of Hilton Avenue, felonious assault, domestic violence and two counts of violation of a protection order.

Norvell B. Stone, 52, of Dean Street, cocaine possession.

Raymond S. Betts, 23, of North Turner Road, Austintown, assault and obstructing official business.

Darryl Dudley, 45, of Mahoning County Jail, breaking and entering.

Mister Jackson, 20, of First Street, receiving stolen property.

Karl Wright Sr., 49, of Lexington Avenue, being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a dangerous ordnance.

Kevin Brooks, 40, of Grenada Way, Woodbridge, Va., improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle.

Brian K. Morgan, 26, of Kings Drive S.W., Warren, receiving stolen property.

Terry B. Grinstead Jr., 32, Westchester Drive, Austintown, inducing panic.

Jessica L. Mitchell, 18, of Park Avenue, Struthers, heroin possession.

Charles W. Rhoads, 42, of Jimtown Road, East Palestine, cocaine possession.

Gary McClellan, 24, of Oakleigh Avenue, Austintown, aggravated burglary, abduction, domestic violence, menacing by stalking, and two counts of rape.

The grand jury also returned a host of secret indictments:

Jane Doe, complicity to illegal manufacture of drugs, permitting drug abuse and child endangering.

John Doe, drug possession, illegal manufacture of drugs, illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, and five counts of trafficking in drugs.

Jane Doe, illegal manufacture of drugs, illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, child endangering and seven counts of drug trafficking with forfeiture specifications.

Jane Doe, cocaine possession, two counts of cocaine trafficking, and three counts of complicity to cocaine trafficking with forfeiture specifications.

Five John Does, cocaine possession, 20 counts of cocaine trafficking, and four counts of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, with forfeiture specifications.
