Car crash leaves
1 dead, 2 injured
SCHOOL OFFICIALS planned to have grief counselors available at Austintown Fitch High School today after one student was killed and two others were injured in a one-car crash on Idlewood Road. Police said John Coudiet, 16, of Idlewood Road, died at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown after the crash at 12:58 p.m. Tuesday. Police said Jessica Adams, 14, of Aldrich
Drive, was a passenger. A clinical manager said Jessica, a freshman, was in critical condition at St. Elizabeth's. Police said John was a passenger in a car that struck a tree. Another 16-year-old boy was driving the car. Police said he was not injured and did not release his name. Doug Heuer, Austintown schools superintendent, confirmed the boys' enrollment in the school's occupational work program as juniors. He also declined to identify the driver.
