Passenger restrained

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — A man on his way to get psychological treatment grew agitated aboard a US Airways flight and tried to open a door as the plane descended, authorities said Tuesday.

Two U.S. air marshals and six male passengers helped restrain the man Monday night on the flight from Philadelphia, said spokesman Neil Birenbaum of the Broward County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities did not elaborate on the man's mental condition or what type of treatment he was to undergo. He began pacing through the aircraft, then unsuccessfully tried to open a door, Birenbaum said.
