She was preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by her mother; sister, Glory (Jim) Harnois; niece, Emily Harnois; nephew, Steven Harnois; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Wendy was a very vibrant and happy individual who touched the lives of all those she met. Her signature was her brightly colored wearing apparel and blue/purple/pink/ green wigs that she would wear to her cancer treatment sessions. Her attitude and stamina during her seven years of treatment also helped other cancer patients deal with their illness. During the latter part of Wendy’s illness, she was designing and painting T-shirts for the various countries around the world. Her goal was to paint a shirt for each and every country. She completed over 30 countries. She also made the T-shirts for family and friends. As a tribute, the Florida family members wore their shirts to her funeral service on April 4. Ohio family members will wear them at her memorial service to be held at 5 p.m., April 26, at Bears Den Cabin in Millcreek Park.

Wendy’s love for animals was unparalleled. She started to rescue stray and unwanted dogs and cats in 1993. Over the years, she had rescued a total of 97 animals. Each one of them lived in her home as her personal pet.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to A.R.F. Shack, a pet rescue group that is helping to place Wendy’s many current pets into good and loving homes. Their web address is www.arfshack.com and their mailing address is 11508 Stagbury Drive, Orlando, FL 32832.
