Christina M. Heydle

PUEBLO WEST, COLO. – Private funeral services will be held for Christina M. Heydle, who died on May 16, 2009 at her residence after a brief illness.

She was born in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Mary A. Racich.

Christina and her surviving husband made their home in Lakewood and Pueblo West since 1961.

She was of Catholic faith and a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.

Christina, a homemaker, who had many talents and interests, among them a unique gift for home decorating, gardening, and gourmet cooking. She also was an avid reader of history and politics, and was an animal lover.

She will be remembered and truly missed by her husband, Larry Heydle, whom she married on Feb. 7, 1947; her two children, son Larry J. Heydle and daughter Terri Schnacker, both of Pueblo West; and six grandchildren, Larry J. Heydle Jr., Danny, Tara, Justin, Teena and Mesha Schnacker, all living in the Denver area. She also leaves behind to cherish her memories, two sisters, Mary Ellen Baber and Elizabeth Jacobs, both of Canfield and her beloved dog, Lulu.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her well known brother, Thomas P. Racich of Youngstown.

Lillian Marie “Becky” Means, 81

YOUNGSTOWN – Mrs. Lillian Marie “Becky” Means, 81, of the Inn at Christine Valley, formerly of Tamarack Drive in Hubbard and Jamestown, Pa., died peacefully Friday morning at 3:15 a.m. at Hospice House in Poland after an extended illness.

Mrs. Means was born in Greenville, Pa. on April 22, 1928, the daughter of the late Frank and Anna M. (Myers) Adams.

She was a 1946 graduate of Sharpsville High School in Pennsylvania.

Becky worked as a waitress and cook at the former Isaly’s Dairy Store in Jamestown. She had previously worked at the former G.C. Murphy Co. in Sharon, Pa. many years ago. She was a former member of the Church of the Nazarene in Hubbard and had been past president of the Jamestown Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.

She was the widow of William L. Means, whom she married on June 3, 1947, and he died March 24, 2007.

Her survivors include her daughters, Patricia Ann Claypool of Greenville, Susan Marie Foltz and her husband, Donald of Columbus; Brenda Jo Means of Rootstown and her son, James Edward Means and his wife, Janet of New London, N.C. She is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant sister.

Donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of the Valley Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Road, Poland, OH 44514.

Funeral services will begin at noon on Monday, May 25, at the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home in Sharon, with the Rev. Fred Markusic and the Hospice Chaplain officiating.

Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hermitage, Pa.

Dorothy M. Rossi, 88

BOARDMAN – There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at 10 a.m. at St. Charles Church in Boardman with the Rev. Philip Rogers officiating, preceded by a 9:15 a.m. prayer service at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St. in Boardman, for Dorothy M. Rossi, 88, who passed away early Thursday morning from an extended illness.

Dorothy will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends.

She was born Oct. 1, 1920 in Oratino, Campobasso, Italy, the daughter of Michael and Angelina (Tirabasso) Fatica. Dorothy came to the United States and settled in Willoughby in 1925 and then moved to the Youngstown area in 1945.

She was a homemaker and a graduate of Willoughby High School.

Dorothy always made her family as first priority and her generosity was endless.

Dorothy was a member of St. Charles Church, its Over 55 Club, and the Ladies Bagnolese Club for over 50 years.

She was an excellent cook and baker and enjoyed socializing, flowers, canning, gardening, and crocheting.

Her husband, Peter A. Rossi, whom she married Dec. 29, 1945, died April 9, 1993.

She leaves behind to hold on to her memories her beloved daughter, Anita (Jim) Ward; a granddaughter, Katelynn Ward; a great-grandson, Nathan, all of Boardman; and a sister, Florence Iafelice of Willoughby Hills.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Peter.

Friends may call on Sunday, May 24, 2009, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, May 25, 2009, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., all at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St. in Boardman.

Entombment will take place at Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Canfield.

Anna Mae Siva, 75

LOWELLVILLE – There will be funeral services at 11:15 a.m. on Monday, May 25 at the Rossi-Lellio Funeral Home, followed by a 12 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at the Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, both in Lowellville for Anna Mae Siva, 75, who passed away Wednesday evening, May 20.

Anna Mae was born April 8, 1934, in Mahoning Township, Lawrence County Pennsylvania, the daughter of John and Carmel (Storti) Cicuto.

She moved to Lowellville in 1937 and attended Lowellville schools where she graduated in 1952.

Anna Mae worked at the City Office & Art Company in Youngstown and attended Youngstown State University. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Church and served as president of the Altar and Rosary Society and Ladies Guild, served with the PTA, Ladies of Mt. Carmel Society, the Gloria DeTel Ladies, the Lowellville Seniors and bowled in the Zodiacs League at Bowladrome Lanes with the Aries Team.

Anna Mae loved to go on vacations with her family, loved baseball and theater, and attended many Yankee games and Broadway Plays in New York and locally.

She was a wonderful and loving mother to her family.

Anna Mae will always be remembered by her husband, George, whom she married April 30, 1955 and whose love will live on, a son, George (Cynthia) Siva of Casselberry, Fla.; three daughters, Leida Ann (Joe) Shuluga of Lowellville, Teresa (John) Norris of Hubbard and Mary Beth (Rick) Crozier of Brookfield; eight grandchildren, Andrew and Anthony Siva, Katie (David) Olson, Joseph and Nicholas Shuluga, Shelby, Rachel and Georganna Norris, and Derrick, Carmella, Dillon and Dallas Crozier; two great-grandchildren, David and Angelina Olson; and three sisters-in-law, Theresa Cicuto, Dolores Schurko and Loretta Hamley.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Lou, Roy, Frank and John; and her sisters, Mary (Steve) Kolesar, Helen (Mike) O’Conner and Viola (Russell) Stille.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 24, at the Rossi-Lellio Funeral Home, 151 Second St. in Lowellville.

The family would like to thank Cathy Traver, the wonderful Sisters and caregivers of the Antonine Sisters, St. Elizabeth Hospital’s 4th floor ICU and CCU, and the staff of Hospice House.
