Vickie Lynn McGinnis, 44
AUSTINTOWN A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the Crossroads Church for Vickie Lynn McGinnis, 44, who passed away at 2:45 a.m. Thursday, May 28, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Boardman Campus.
Vickie was born June 5, 1964 in Youngstown, the daughter of Austin J. and Jacqueline (Jarny) Green, and was a 1982 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School.
Since 2006, Vickie was employed with Things Remembered in customer service.
Vickie enjoyed photography, spending time with her daughters and grandson, Mason Alexander and Saturday shopping with her sister, Tina at Wal-Mart. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Vickie was married on Oct. 27, 1984 to Timothy McGinnis and he survives.
Also surviving are her parents of Austintown; her mother-in-law, Tessie Mae (Morton) McGinnis; four daughters, Shaena Lynn McGinnis of Girard, Amber Rose McGinnis at home, Jackii Mae Moe McGinnis of Austintown and Brittany Ann McGinnis at home; eight siblings, Larry Green of Austintown, Rosemary (Randy) Blakeman of Austintown, Carol (Jimmy) King of Girard, Mark Green of Austintown, Janette (Mike) Brown of Columbiana, Tina (Joe) Sollitto of Austintown, April (Rich) Booth of Columbus and David (Sheila) Green of Austintown; a grandson, Mason Alexander Franqui of Girard; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Vickie was preceded in death by her father-in-law, George McGinnis.
Family will receive friends on Monday, June 1, 2009, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Marilyn Moresky Newman, 70
CLEVELAND Marilyn Moresky Newman, 70, passed away unexpectedly the morning of May 28, 2009 in her home.
Marilyn was born on April 24, 1939 in New Castle, Pa., to the late Joseph and Esther Rosen Moresky.
She married Herbert Newman on Sept. 17, 1961.
Mrs. Newman was an award winning artist who excelled at acrylic painting. Marilyn graduated from New Castle High School and The Cleveland Institute of Art. She also attended Penn State University.
Mrs. Newman is survived by her husband, Herbert; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Karie Newman of Liberty Township; one sister, Silvia Moresky of New Castle; and three grandchildren, Emily, Joshua and Seth Newman of Liberty Twp.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Harry Moresky.
Visitation will be on Sunday, May 31, 2009, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. on Wilmington Road in New Castle.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, May 31, 2009, at 2 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. on Wilmington Road in New Castle with Rabbi Martin Shorr officiating.
Burial will be at Tifereth Israel Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of the donors choosing.
Francis Buck Williams, 92
DIAMOND Francis Buck Williams, 92, passed into eternal rest on Friday, May 29, 2009, at Meridian Arms Living Center.
Buck was born in Warren on March 2, 1917, the son of Wesley and Cecilia (Shriner) Williams.
Buck had lived in the Diamond area most of his life. He was employed as a concrete pipe manufacturer for Youngstown Concrete Pipe in Boardman. Buck was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II.
Buck married Clara Force on Nov. 25, 1937, and after 43 years of marriage, she died on Sept. 14, 1981. He then married his second wife, Betty Pitman on Dec. 11, 1982 and they shared 23 years of marriage before her passing in September of 2006.
Buck was a member of the Canfield Christian Church, American Legion Post in Laurel, Md. and the Lake Milton American Legion.
Buck took great pride and enjoyment in mowing his grass, woodworking and spending time with his dog, Fred.
Buck is survived by his daughters, Janet and Edward Robbins of Somerset, Ky., Jeanne Crawford of Willoughby and Jenifer Terry of Diamond; son, Edward Williams of Phoenix; sister, Dolores Williams of North Jackson; brother, Chuck and Shirley Williams of Berlin Center; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Anna Dodd and brother, Bill Williams.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 1, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the James Funeral Home with Pastor Lou Raymond officiating.
Calling hours will be held one hour prior to the service, from 10 to 11 a.m.
Burial will be at Eckis Cemetery.
Ronald Lee Zents, 75
SALEM A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the Realife Church, 12824 Salem Warren Road in Salem for Ronald Lee Zents, 75, who passed away Friday, May 29, 2009, at 12:35 a.m. in the emergency room at Salem Community Hospital of complications following Leukemia.
Ron was born Nov. 22, 1933, in Youngstown, the son of George R. and Clarabelle M. (Pennell) Zents.
Ron grew up in the Youngstown area and moved to Riverside, Calif., where he and his wife, Bonnie resided for eight years before moving back to the Mahoning Valley in 1996.
Ron was a 1952 graduate of Poland Seminary High School and attended Youngstown State University in 1953 for typing training. He also attended West Coast Trade School in San Bernardino, Calif. for IBM training.
Ron served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from Dec. 5, 1956 until Dec. 1, 1958 with the 1st Calvary Division Special Services as office and postal clerk.
Before entering active duty, Ron worked for U.S. Steel Corp. in McDonald as an office clerk. After being discharged from the Army, Ron made deliveries for Stationers Corp. in Riverside from 1967 until 1983. When he moved back to Youngstown, he worked for Burton Supply in shipping and receiving, Jobbers Supply Inc. as a purchasing agent, Ohio Diesel Fleet Supply in shipping and receiving, Camelot Arms Care Center as an orderly, retired in 1995 from Bearings Inc. as a delivery man and fully retired in 2004 from IGA Stores in Salem and Beloit.
He was a Sunday School teacher at the Highgrove Assembly of God in California and at the First Assembly of God in San Bernardino, Calif. and also the Greek Assembly in Campbell. He was a longtime member (50 years) of the Highway Tabernacle Church and became a member of the Realife Church in 2001.
Ron is survived by his wife of 52 years, the former Bonnie J. Cover, whom he married Sept. 22, 1956; his father, George R. Zents of Salem; a daughter, Teri Lee (Tony) Goolsby of Fountain Inn, S.C.; a sister-in-law, Arlene Rae (Gerald) Ohde of Gunnison, Colo.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six nieces; and one nephew.
Ron was preceded in death by his mother and a sister, Karen Marie Haswell.
Family will receive friends on Monday, June 1, 2009, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel and again on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 from 10:30 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
The family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations to Realife Church, 12824 Salem-Warren Road, Salem, OH 44460.
