Ila Joy Bailey, 83
POLAND Ila Joy Bailey, 83, formerly of Howland and Lordstown, died at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at Hospice of the Valleys Hospice House of Poland.
She was born Nov. 9, 1925 in Woodruff, Wis., the daughter of Anthony and Martha (Davis) Revenew.
A loving homemaker, she was a member of the Faith Baptist Church of Niles.
Her husband of 38 years, Beauford Ed Bailey, whom she married in December of 1951 preceded her in death in November of 1989. Also preceding her in death was a daughter, Dorothy Ankerson; three sons, Rolland, Charles and Warren Bailey; and three sisters, Martha Fernandez, Lila Grenier and Ethel McFadden.
Ila will be sadly missed by children, Julie (Bill) Ewing of Berlin Center, Gloria (Norman) Kellar Jr. of Florida, Shirley (John) Bowman of McDonald, Richard (Cheryl) Bailey of Johnston, Marlene (Robert) Young of Niles and Walter (Leona) Bailey of Warren. She also leaves her dear friend, George Brown; 21 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours.
The Rev. John Preusser will conduct a private graveside service at a later time at Pineview Memorial Park.

Martha Blott, 76
GIRARD Martha Blott, 76, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at Park Vista.
Martha was born Dec. 18, 1932 to the late Edward and Alice Bird Blott in Youngstown.
She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Sunrise Chapter No. 458 Eastern Star.
She enjoyed collecting memorabilia on British Royal families and First Ladies.
She is survived by her nephew, Richard (Pamela) Blott of Dearborn, Mich.; niece, Sharon Johnson of Atlanta; and five great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Edward J. Blott Jr.
Services will be held on Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Blackstone Funeral Home, where visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m., prior to the service.
Internment will be at Girard City Cemetery.
Helen Soltis Campolito, 78
DUBLIN Helen Soltis Campolito, 78, died May 14, 2009 at Dublin Methodist Hospital in Dublin.
She was born Oct. 13, 1930 in Youngstown, the daughter of Elizabeth and Joseph Soltis.
She was a graduate of Chaney High School. She was a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church in Youngstown, Saint Brigid of Kildare in Dublin, and the Honolulu Gardening Society.
She enjoyed spending time tending her garden, especially her roses. Most especially, she was very proud of her children and grandchild.
She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Laura (Dr. Robert) Limardi of Cincinnati; her sons, Joseph of Massillon and Ralph and Mark of Dublin; and her grandson, Nicholas Limardi. Also, she will be missed by her sisters, Mary Clayton of Struthers and Eleanor (Sam) Sloban of Niles.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Joseph.
A memorial service will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown at a later date.

Beverly Kay (Ball) Collins, 70
UNION Beverly Kay (Ball) Collins, 70, formerly of Youngstown, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2009. Beverly was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Norman Collins; daughter, Laurie Boehm of Florida; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Kathy Collins of Akron and Bruce and Lisa Collins of Maryland; sister and brother-in-law, Gayle and Donald Clifford of Pennsylvania.; brother and sister-in-law, Christy and Joyce Ball of New Jersey; grandchildren, Brian, Matthew, David, Caryn, Gregory, Michael, Shelby and Joshua; and relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Eleanor (Avery) Ball.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2009, at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd. in Englewood) with Pastor Jeffery Blair officiating.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 1 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Shirley Jeanne Frye, 63
YOUNGSTOWN Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at the Lane Funeral Home, Mineral Ridge Chapel for Shirley Jeanne Frye, 63, who died early Thursday morning at her home.
Shirley was born June 13, 1945 in Warren, the daughter of the late Louis and Ruth L. (Carter) Lodwick.
Shirley had been self-employed and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mineral Ridge. She was a member of the support group of the Youngstown Scleroderma Foundation and had been a volunteer for 22 years for the Tod Childrens Hospital Telethon. Shirley loved spending time with her grandchildren and friends and enjoyed crafts.
She leaves five children, Kimberly (Bryan) Kruysman of Sarasota, Fla., Michael (Bradene) Frye of Sharpsville, Pa., Kelly (Phil) Nestor of Columbus, Kathy (Matt) May of Austintown and Kristina (Jamie) Petrich of Hubbard; and a sister, Barbara (David) Taft of Lakeland, Fla. She leaves 22 grandchildren, Tiffanie, Amber, Sarah, Dallas, Ashley, Matthew, Christopher, Courtney, Andrew, Addyson, Michelle, Billy, Brittany, Jacob, Justin, Matthew, Jessyca, Kayla, Alicia, Brian, Mikayla and Alexis. Shirley leaves her extended family Kathie, Joanne, Lisa and Nancy and many other close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Glen A. Jones Jr., 68
LAKE MILTON There will be a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Monday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Glen A. Jones Jr., 68, who passed away Wednesday evening at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
Glen was born July 6, 1940, in Greenville, Pa., a son of the late Glen A. and Edith (Reinhart) Jones Sr.
He enjoyed many family owned business including Jones Radiator, Jones Ice, Jerry Flag Car and Concession Stands, which his son, Jeff now operates.
Glen drove a school bus for Jackson Milton Schools with his wife, was a volunteer fire fighter with the Craig Beach Volunteer Fire Department since the early 1960s. Most of all, Glen enjoyed spending time with his family.
His wife, the former Lois Bonnie Smith, whom he married Aug. 27, 1972, passed away Dec. 18, 2007.
Glen is survived by four children, Edie Jones of Lake Milton, Tina (Paul) Ray of Lake Milton, Jeff (Davine) Sickle of New Waterford and Glen Chuck Jones of Lake Milton; two granddaughters, Michelle (George) and Geraldyne; three grandsons, Keith, Phillip and Jeffrey; one great-granddaughter, Kennedy Noelle; and dear relative, Patrick Jones.
Besides his parents and wife, Glen was preceded in death by Charles Bechler, who raised him.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.

Rebecca Becky Mango, 55
SALEM Rebecca Becky Mango, 55, of 500 East 4th St., died Wednesday morning, June 10, 2009, following an auto accident on Route 14 east of Germantown Road in Beaver Township.
She was born in Wheeling, W.Va. on March 6, 1954, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Ruthann (Jacobs) Morris.
Before her retirement in March of 1999, she had been a partner, along with her late husband, in Roccos Men's Wear in Salem and Avalon Gardens in Youngstown.
Becky was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. She was a 1972 graduate of South Range High School and a lifelong area resident.
Her husband, Rocco A. Mango Sr., whom she married Sept. 29, 1984, preceded her in death March 17, 1999. A brother, William Morris preceded her in death in 1982.
Survivors include three sisters, Bonita Evans (Tom) of Canal Fulton, Margaret Charlton of Salem and Lori Bolner of Salem; and two brothers, Michael (Madeline) Morris of Austintown and Lloyd (Karen) Morris Jr. of Westville.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home with Ruth Harsh officiating.
Calling hours will be held from 1:30 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery.

Jane Louise Wilson, 88
YOUNGSTOWN Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Chapel for Jane Louise Wilson, 88, formerly of East Avondale Ave., who died Wednesday evening at Beeghly Oaks.
Jane was born Mar. 28, 1920, a daughter of Alexander and Lillian Baughman Campbell.
She had worked in the dietary department at Southside Hospital. She was a 1938 graduate of South High School, and was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church ELCA and its Ladies Aide Organization.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Wilson of Youngstown and David (Ann) Wilson of New Middletown and a grandson, Kevin Michael Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wallace M. Wilson, whom she married in 1933, and died in 1966; and a brother, Robert Campbell.

Paul Zack, 79
YOUNGSTOWN Private services were held today, June 12, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman, with the Rev. Msgr. Michael Cariglio celebrating for Paul Zack, 79, who passed away Tuesday morning, June 9.
Paul was born Dec. 15, 1929 in Youngstown, the son of Frank and Antoinette (Janis) Zaklukiewicz.
He was employed at Republic Steel as a crane operator. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.
Paul will always be remembered by his sister, Sonia Janik of Columbia, S.C.; a brother, Robert (Catherine) Zack of Boardman; and his sister-in-law, Margaret Zack of Boardman.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his five brothers, John, Henry, Carl, Edward and Joseph; and three sisters, Ann, Rose, and Lottie.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman.
