Winifred Ann Clark Bradley, 83
YOUNGSTOWN A funeral service celebrating the life of Mrs. Winifred Ann Clark Bradley, 83, will be held Monday at noon at the New Bethel Baptist Church.
Mrs. Bradley was born July 15, 1925 in Youngstown, a daughter of James and Lenora Jackson Clark.
She was a 1943 graduate of Girard High School. During World War II, she worked in a steel mill to help supply our nation with much needed military equipment. She also worked as a private investigator which took her to many cities throughout the United States.
In 1948, she married Army Private Albert Nathaniel Bradley.
She was always very active in her childrens lives, and provided a warm and loving environment for her family. Throughout her life she had a zest for knowledge and loved to share this with all of her family and friends, creating a strong family unit which exemplified the importance of education, dignity, and hard work. Her quick wit and great sense of humor was unparalleled.
During the 60s, Winifred went to work as an insurance claims adjuster for Allstate Insurance Company. In 1981, she moved to California to join her daughter, Kathleen and sons, Mark and Robert in Los Angeles, where she continued working for Allstate Insurance Company until her retirement in 1991.
In 1992, her love and devotion for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ led her to join and become an active member of the City of Angels Church, founded by her dear friend and mentor the late Reverend O.C. Smith.
On June 9, 2009 our heavenly father cast his eternal light onto Liberty Health Care Center and beckoned her home.
She leaves a legacy of love and beautiful memories with her three sons, Mark Romero Bradley and his wife, Patricia of Warren; Robert Alan Bradley and his wife, Parvati of Dana Point, Calif. and Ronald Nathaniel Bradley of Charlotte, N.C.; daughter, Kathleen Bradley-Redd and her husband, Terrence of Los Angeles; her loving sister, Betty Tibbs of Newark, Ohio; her sister-in-law, June Bradley; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her devoted cousins, Helen Jackson and Mabel Barnett, both of Youngstown; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members in Los Angeles and other dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Scott Bradley; a sister, Marguerite J. Dykes; and two brothers, Paul and Robert Clark.
Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Washington Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends Monday one hour prior to services at the church.
Interment will be at Belmont Park Cemetery.

George F. Butch Buccella, 68
MINERAL RIDGE George F. Butch Buccella, 68, of 812 Carson Salt Springs Road, died at 9:32 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren.
He was born Jan. 31, 1941, in Youngstown, the son of Frank and Betty Cutright Buccella.
He was a 1958 graduate of Niles McKinley High School.
Butch owned and operated Buccella and Sons RV Sales for nine years, was a Weathersfield Township trustee for 16 years, where he served as chairman and vice-chairman, co-owned ALenzios Pizza in Mineral Ridge with his wife Judy for 14 years, and was a staff representative to Congressman James Traficant for 17 years until his retirement.
After his retirement, George worked for Western Reserve Limousines and at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles as a hearse and limo driver.
He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Niles and served on its parish council, was a member and past King Lion of the Niles Lions Club, and involved with the Niles Democratic Club, the Trumbull County Fair Board, and the Jolly Boys Monday Night Gang.
He was also a member of the Niles Area Chamber of Commerce, where he served as president, vice president, and secretary and received its Outstanding Citizen of The Year Award and its Small Business Advocate of The Year Award.
He was on the Fairhaven Workshop Board of Trustees, Niles Churches for Housing, and the Jefferson Democratic Club.
He enjoyed NASCAR as he was an avid Jeff Gordon fan. He built and raced stock cars at the Canfield, Expo, and Sharon Speedways for 28 years, and also enjoyed bowling.
Butch, who was always known for saying one day at a time will be deeply missed by his wife, Judy Sheldon Buccella, whom he married Dec. 8, 1962; a son, Jeff Buccella (Dawn) of Austintown; a daughter, Tracie Fynes (Dan) of Garretsville; a sister, Suzanne Miller of Florida; and five grandchildren, Eddie, Kyle, Miamee, Jordyn and Lillie.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the Joseph Rossi & Sons Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Niles where the Niles Lions Club will conduct prayers at 7:30 p.m.
Friends may also call from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service on Tuesday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Niles with Pastor Beth Ferne Johnson officiating.
Burial will be at Kerr Cemetery.

Temple E. Davner, 87
LISBON Temple E. Davner, 87, of East Chestnut Street, formerly of Miller Road, passed away peacefully at 8:25 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2009, at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a recent illness.
Mrs. Davner was born March 24, 1922 in Elkton, the daughter of the late Merle and Luella (Coleman) McCord and had lived her entire life in the Lisbon area.
She was a homemaker and member of St. George Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society, a former member of the Lisbon Eagles Aerie 2216, and a former member of the Wilfred J. Clunk VFW Post 4111 ladies auxiliary.
Her husband, Carl Davner, whom she married Nov. 22, 1941, preceded her in death Sept. 14, 1982.
She is survived and will be dearly remembered by her daughters, Mrs. Judith Ann (Jack) Williams of Austintown, Mrs. Carol Jean (Jeff) Dorrance and Mrs. Elizabeth Kay (Frank) Gardner, both of Lisbon and Mrs. Christine Ellen (Rick) Williams of Butler, Pa.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2009, at St. George Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Lisbon Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2009, at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m.

Donald W. Essany, 74
YOUNGSTOWN Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 15, at the Thompson Funeral Home, 4221 Market St. in Boardman for Donald W. Essany, 74, who died early Friday morning at his residence.
Donald was born May 2, 1935 in Youngstown, a son of the late William and Beatrice Stein Essany.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and had been a machine operator for Wean Inc. for 37 years, retiring in March of 1993.
Donald was a member of the Mahoning United Methodist Church, the Saxon Club and the St. George Lodge No. 66, Croatian Home.
Donald leaves his wife, the former Gloria DeLisio, whom he married Aug. 22, 1970; three daughters, Gerine Coombs of Austintown, Delores (Wade) Stoops of Tuttle, Okla. and Dawnata (Ken) Hopkins of Monet, Mo.; two stepdaughters, Michele Louk of Franklin Square and Victoria (Robert) Goff) of Salem; a sister, Delores (David) Flint of Exton, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Donald was preceded in death by two sisters, Janet Cook and Bernice Zubal and infant twin brothers.
Friends may call on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service Monday.

Mary E. Fabry, 83
COLUMBIANA There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Monday at Saint Charles Church, celebrated by Father Philip Rogers for Mary E. Fabry, 83, who passed away Thursday morning at Saint Elizabeth Health Center Boardman Campus.
Mrs. Fabry was born March 15, 1926 in Czechoslovakia, a daughter of Stefan and Helena Legat Kollar.
She loved gardening, reading, cooking and baking Slovak foods. Mary loved raising her four children and was a member of the church.
Her husband, Michael Fabry, whom she married Jan. 19, 1947, died April 27, 1978.
She leaves four children, Georgina (Bill) Kerr of Columbiana, Michael Fabry of New Springfield, Stephen Fabry of Poland and John Fabry of Columbiana; a sister, Helena Kandrova of Slovakia; a brother, Albert Kollar of Slovakia; five grandchildren, Bill Kerr Jr., James Kerr, Joseph Kerr, Emily Fabry and Dianah Fabry; and three great-grandchildren, Jacqie, Kaity and Britany Kerr.

William E. Reagan, 83
FAIRLAWN William E. Reagan, 83, loving husband and father, died June 11, 2009 at the Village at St. Edward.
Bill Reagan grew up in Youngstown, the son of Edgar and Marie Reagan.
He graduated from Ursuline High School in 1943 and then served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He married the love of his life, Louise McDermott on June 11, 1949, and graduated the following year from John Carroll University with Honors. While at John Carroll University, Bill was selected for the 1950 Whos Who of American Students.
Bill and Louise raised seven children. After working multiple jobs to support the family, Bill began a career at IBM, where he was one of the most successful salespersons in the company. Bills outgoing Irish personality served him quite well in his personal and professional lives.
His 28 year IBM career took the family to Cleveland and then to Akron in 1974. He retired from IBM in 1988. Following his retirement, Bill became even more involved with his charitable work and St. Hilary Parish. He served as President of the St. Vincent de Paul Society for 6 years. He also assisted the St. Hilarys pastor in a number of roles including as a regular Sunday usher and a server during weekday Masses.
Bill also enjoyed golfing with his sons and participating in the St. Hilary Golf League for over 30 years, accomplishing two holes-in-one in the process.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Louise, and his seven children, Mary Anne Coughlin (Marty), William Reagan Jr., Donald Reagan (Peggy), Janie Howe (Bill), Nancy Finn (Jeff), Susan O'Neil (Jim) and Peter Reagan (Maggie). He also leaves behind 22 loved grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Bills brother, Msgr. Donald Reagan and his sister, Kathleen Manning, preceded him in death and he is survived by his brother, Jack Reagan.
Bills family greatly appreciates the support they have received from The Village at St. Edward community. In addition, a special Thank You to the angels who have cared for Bill and Louise over the past few years, enriching their lives on a daily lives.

Reverend Matthew W. Shelton, 50
NILES The Reverend Matthew W. Shelton, 50, passed away at 9:11 a.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2009, at University Hospital in Cleveland of complications of double lung transplant surgery.
He was born in Youngstown on May 16, 1959, the son of William J. and Rita A. (Shook) Shelton and resided most of his life in Niles. Early in his life, he believed his calling was to become a parish priest.
Father Shelton graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in Warren, Trumbull Business College with an Associate Degree, and Youngstown State University with a triple Bachelors and Masters Degrees. He studied for the priesthood at the Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus.
Father Shelton was ordained May 28, 2005 at St. Columba Cathedral by Bishop Thomas J. Tobin. He was appointed associate pastor of St. Joseph Parish in Canton (2005-2006) and St. Charles Parish in Boardman (2006-2007). In July of 2007, he was appointed associate pastor of St. Michael Parish in Canton, but requested a leave of absence for health reasons at that time.
He was a member of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians, Knights of Columbus and the Ohio Genealogical Society. He enjoyed history, especially on President William McKinley, his family genealogy, cooking, and animals, especially his dogs, Patches, Ceasar, Irish and Shadow.
He is survived by his sister, E. Marie Shelton of Warren; dear friends and caregivers, Mrs. Ada Bertolini of Niles, Pat and Becky Ellwood of Girard and Scott Dennison of Warren; and his fellow brother priests, deacons and seminarians.
His parents preceded him in death.
Calling hours will be Sunday, June 14, 2009, from 4 to 8 p.m. at St. Stephen Church and an evening prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, June 15, 2009, at 11 a.m. at St. Stephen Church with viewing from 10 to 10:30 a.m. The Most Reverend George V. Murray, S.J., PhD., Bishop of the Diocese of Youngstown will be the celebrant.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.

YOUNGSTOWN Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday at the Everlife Worship Center for Terrence J. Tarver Jr., 9, who departed this life Sunday, June 7, 2009 at his residence.
Master Tarver was born March 27, 1999 in Youngstown, a son of Terrence J. Tarver Sr. and Latasha A. Dixon.
He was a student at Kirkmere Elementary School and volunteered as a student aide.
He was a member of the church and its mime ministry.
He leaves his parents; a brother, Desmond Clark; two sisters, BraNaya Clark and ELaya Butler; stepsister, Taylor Cleveland; grandparents, David and Darlana Richardson, Antonio D. Cleveland and Thomas Dixon; great-grandparents, Barbara Dixon, Frank Payton and Foresteen Richardson; and his godmother, Jessica Robinson, who helped rear him, all of Youngstown.
A grandmother, Tina Cleveland and a great-grandmother, Marion Pearce, preceded him in death.

YOUNGSTOWN Funeral service will be at noon on Monday at the Nevels Temple Church of God in Christ for Mrs. Rosa Lee White, 78, who departed this life Sunday, June 7, 2009, at Andover Village in Andover.
Mrs. White was born Oct. 25, 1930 in Youngstown, a daughter of Roosevelt and Louella Lewis Galloway.
She was a homemaker, a member of the church, its mothers board and hospitality committee.
She leaves a son, Richard Donaldson of Youngstown; 10 grandchildren, including Curtis Jones, with whom she made her home; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Her parents; three brothers, Herschel Fordham Sr., James and Johnny Lewis; and seven sisters, Gussie Harbin, Maeola Lewis, Artis Lewis, Ruby Dale, Alma Haynes, Melanie Watley and Louise Lewis preceded her in death.
