Beraduce, 92
YOUNGSTOWN Helen Kopachy Beraduce, 92, formerly of Leyton Avenue, passed away Saturday afternoon, July 4, 2009, at Omni Manor Care Center following a lengthy illness.
Helen was born Sept. 13, 1916, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late John and Bertha Klinkovich Fetzer, was a 1935 graduate of Chaney High School and a lifelong area resident.
She was a homemaker, and also worked as a clerk at Lustigs Shoe Store and for Mitzis Hats.
Helen was a member of Our Lady of Hungary Church in Youngstown, where she was a member of the St. Anne Society and the Ladies Confraternity. She was also a member of the senior citizens groups at St. Brendan Church, Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, and St. Christine Church.
Helen enjoyed gardening and playing cards.
Her first husband, William Kopachy, whom she married June 14, 1938, passed away Oct. 26, 1959. Her second husband, Joseph Beraduce, whom she married in 1963, passed away July 9, 1981.
Helen leaves two daughters, Billie Jane (Samuel) Patton of Austintown and Alice Ann (Tom) Nadasky of Ellsworth; a son, James Gordon (Phyllis) Kopachy of Chagrin Falls; a stepson, Joseph Beraduce of Canfield; a stepdaughter, Mary Ann (Marty) Milich of Boardman; a foster child, Nancy (Joseph) Luchison of Youngstown; a sister, Magdeline Hrifko of Canfield; seven grandchildren, Virginia, Christine, Thomas Jr., David, Theresa, Reba and Joey; and eight great-grandchildren, Samuel, Leah, Seth, Logan, Lyric, Haley, James, and Jason.
Helen will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Two sisters, Mary Glasser and Irene Danish, are deceased.
Family and friends may call Tuesday, July 7, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road in Youngstown.
Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home and continue at 10 a.m. at the Our Lady of Hungary Church.
Interment will follow at Tod Homestead Cemetery.

Sophia M. Bracken, 83
COLUMBIANA Sophia M. Bracken, 83, passed away Saturday evening at Hospice House in Poland of complications from a brain tumor.
Mrs. Bracken was born Feb. 3, 1926, in Johnstown, Pa., a daughter of the late Harry and Sophia Kolotylo Pasternak.
After graduating in 1945 from Johnstown High School, she was employed as a PBX operator.
In 1946, she married her husband of 63 years, John (Jack) Bracken who survives.
Sophia was a homemaker and loved to bake, sew, crochet and spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was an active member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Columbiana and volunteered for many activities in past years.
She is also survived by two daughters, Darlene Orincsak (the late John Orincsak) and Jeanne Raneri (Joseph Raneri), both of Columbiana; and a brother, Stephen (Doris) Pasternak of Johnstown, Pa. Sophie had three grandchildren, Jacqueline (Jackie) Orincsak (her companion, Roy Munn) of Willoughby, Lori Kerchofer (Michael) of Greer, S.C. and the late Christopher Orincsak. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Erin, Isaac and Justin Hendershot (Jackies children) and Jonathan, Cole, and Sophie Kerchofer (Loris children).
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Rose Hilboky and Ann Brasich and a brother, Harry Pasternak.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Jude Catholic Church in Columbiana with the Reverend Thomas G. Ziegler officiating.
Burial will follow at Columbiana Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home in Columbiana.

Gary Dwight Chick Sr., 59
WARREN Gary Dwight Chick Sr., 59, passed away July 5, 2009.
Gary was born in Warren to the late Peter and Helen Chick.
He served in the U.S. Army in Germany and worked for American Welding for 18 years.
Along with his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Thompson.
He is survived by his children, Angela Chick, Yvonne (George) Popa and Gary Chick II; grandson, Julian Fort; sister, Patricia Huebner; brothers, Ron (Marge) and Paul Chick; and many other family and friends.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Frances Anne Conkle, 79
HICKSVILLE Frances Anne Conkle, 79, died on Friday, July 3, 2009, at Community Memorial Hospital in Hicksville.
She was born on Sept. 21, 1929, in Wooster, the daughter of Henry and Frances (Latona) Schaan.
She was a 1948 graduate of Wooster High School.
She married Walter Conkle on June 11, 1949 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Wooster.
She was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Hicksville, serving in the Altar Rosary Society, Social Club, Eucharistic Minister and Lector. She was active in charity work with migrant workers and the VA Hospital in Kalamazoo, Mich., Cursillo in Youngstown and Kalamazoo, and a Lifeline volunteer for 22 years. She was a member of the Hicksville Eagles Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, and Red Hatters.
She was a lifelong athlete, who played high school sports, womens softball, and womens golf league and bowling leagues.
She is survived by her husband, Walter of Hicksville, four sons, Douglass (Linda) of Santa Fe, N.M., Alan (Pat) of Millbury, Kenneth of Ft. Wayne, Ind. and Rodney (Jodi) of Hicksville; and a daughter, Corrina (Brian) Campos of Dayton; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Monica and a sister, Grace.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Hicksville with Fr. Thomas Oedy officiating.
Visitation will be at Smith & Brown Funeral Home in Hicksville today from 2 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Graveside services and burial will be on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Wooster.

Sherryl Rae Hart, 56
HOUSTON Sherryl Rae Hart, 56, passed away July 3, 2009, at her home in Houston, surrounded by family and friends.
She was born in Youngstown and was a graduate of Youngstown State University.
Sheree served as manager of the YWCA in Houston for several years and continued her management career at Woodlawn Cemetery and Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Robert W. Hart; her children, Sarah Gunn and husband Aaron, Seth Hart and wife Rachelle, and Garrett Hart; and of Boardman, her parents, Raymond and Barbara McKinley Dibble; and her sisters, Lynne Keeney and husband Jim and Denise McCloud and husband Tom.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Jeffrey Dibble.
Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, July 7 at 2 p.m. at the Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel in Houston.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Tuesday.
John R. Janoso, 73
LIBERTY A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Rose Church in Girard for John R. Janoso, 73, who died Saturday morning at Sharon Regional Hospital in Pennsylvania.
He was born May 2, 1936, in Youngstown, the son of the late John A. and Mary (Rodjom) Janoso.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, a graduate of Youngstown State University, a member of St. Rose Church, and a member of St. Vincent DePaul Society. He retired from General Motors in 2004 after 38 years as an engineer.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine (Cerra) Janoso, whom he married June 24, 1961; three sons, John R. (Dina) Janoso Jr. of Poland, Anthony (Jeanette) Janoso of Littleton, Colo. and Scott (Robin) Janoso of Chesapeake, Va.; a daughter, Mary Lynn Janoso of Winter Haven, Fla.; two brothers, Richard (Maryanne) Janoso of Allentown, Pa. and Kenneth (Donna) Janoso of Kent; a sister, Dorothy (Carl) Fisher of Austintown; and a brother-in-law, Anthony (Janice) Cerra of St Charles, Mo. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Stephanie and Brooke Pumphrey, Jacob and Kylie Janoso, Rachael, Alex, Britni and Anthony Janoso and Tiffany and Isabella Janoso
Calling hours are from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Rose Church before the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Johns name to Sharon Regional Health System, 740 E. State St., Sharon, PA 16146.
Arrangements are being handled by the McClurkin Funeral Home in Girard.

William J. Morgan, 83
AUSTINTOWN Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church for William J. Morgan, 83, who passed away late on July 3, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
William was born Sept. 20, 1925, in Youngstown, son of the late William J. Sr. and Vern (Fahndrich) Morgan.
He was employed as a mechanical engineer for Wean United Corporation, retiring in 1987.
William was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and was also a U.S. Army veteran. He was an avid woodworker and totally enjoyed giving some of his wood creations to family and friends.
Leaving to cherish his memory is his wife, Betty (Hetrick) Morgan, whom he married on Dec. 29, 1949; a son, Bruce W. Morgan of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and two grandchildren, Rachael and Will.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Richards.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home, 4221 Market St. in Boardman and also one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.
Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Thompson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Irene M. Veauthier, 89
AUSTINTOWN A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Youngstown, preceded by closing prayers at 9 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home, for Irene M. Veauthier, 89, who passed away Thursday at Hospice House.
Irene was born Sept. 1, 1919 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Ralph T. and Irene M. (Hilbert) Martin.
She was a faithful member of St. Patricks Catholic Church in Youngstown. She was very devoted to her family.
Her husband, Paul V. Veauthier, whom she married June 29, 1940, passed away Sept. 8, 1971.
After his death, Irene worked at Strouss Department Store, and was a poll worker in Youngstown during election time.
Irene is survived by six children, Edward N. Veauthier of Cleveland, Paul Thomas (Carole) Veauthier of North Carolina, Barbara I. (Keith) Smith of Austintown, Robert J. (Sherry) Veauthier of North Jackson, William E. Veauthier of Goshen Township and Ralph Veauthier, with whom she made her home; one sister, Lois Johnston of Phoenix; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Irene was preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Bud Martin; two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Velma A. Williams, 89
AUSTINTOWN Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Velma A. Williams, 89, who passed away Friday afternoon at Humility House, where she was a resident for the past six years.
Velma was born March 26, 1920, in Ellsworth, a daughter of the late Emery and Mamie A. (Neff) Cutting.
Velma attended Austintown Fitch High School.
She worked at the Plakie Toy Factory in Canfield in her early years and later worked at Neumans Dry Cleaners in Canfield as a manager, and as a waitress at the TelStar Restaurant in Cornersburg.
Velma loved to play bingo and go to the racetrack. She enjoyed flea marketing with her husband and her sister, Hilda. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Eugene H. Williams, whom she married Jan. 7, 1943, passed away Sept. 15, 1999.
Velma leaves behind two daughters, Sandra (James) Hoffman and Nancy (James) Johnson, both of Austintown; three grandsons, James (Sabrina) Hoffman, David (Shannon) Hoffman and Gary (Brandy) Hoffman; four great-grandchildren, Courtney, David, Haley and Jimmy Hoffman; two sisters, Hilda Bortmas of Austintown and Floretta Neal of California; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Velma was preceded in death by three brothers, Fredrick, Chester and Edward Cutting; a sister, Jesse Welling; and a great-granddaughter, Alexis Hoffman.
