Sterling Keith Floyd
YOUNGSTOWN Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the L.E. Black, Phillips and Holden Funeral Home for Sterling K. Floyd, who departed this life July 9.
Sterling was born Feb. 27, 1973, in Youngstown, the son of Arthur and Lesa Jennings Floyd.
He was a graduate of Watkins Christian Academy and had attended college.
He was the owner of Floyds Property Maintenance.
He had been baptized at the Temple Emmanuel Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
He loved fishing and raising pets and loved his children and family.
He is survived by his mother, Lesa Jennings of Youngstown and his father of Houston; his sister, Sommer Womack, and an adopted brother, Jermaine McKinney, both of Youngstown; two sons, Sterling Vaught of Youngstown and Tyran Williams of Akron; four daughters, India Foster of Atlanta, Shanice and Simiyah Floyd of Akron and Jasmine Vaught of Youngstown; his fiancee, Patricia Williams; grandparents Otha Jennings and Willie Floyd; and his great-grandmother, Florine Watkins; and a host of aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, William Jennings and grandmother, Mayola Floyd.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
William P. Gladysz, 89
HUBBARD William P. Gladysz, 89, died Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at Select Specialty Hospital in Youngstown.
He was born Oct. 1, 1919, in Farrell, Pa., a son of Paul and Sophia Shuba Gladysz, and was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Gladysz was the head of the Engineering Department for the Trumbull County Engineers Office for over 20 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of St. Patrick Church in Hubbard.
His wife, the former Jane Frances OBrien, whom he married Nov. 27, 1946, died Oct. 8, 1990.
He leaves a son, William P. (Carol) Gladysz Jr. of Mechanicsville, Va.; a daughter, Suzanne (Frank) Spadafora of Vienna; two brothers, Edward Gladysz and Patrick Gladysz, both of Brookfield; four sisters, Stella Lazor of Erie, Pa., Frances Malia of Sharpsville, Pa., Mary Perilli of West Middlesex, Pa., and Patricia Curren of Simi Valley, Calif.; four grandchildren, Lauren, Stephen and Julie Spadafora, all of Vienna, and William P. Gladysz III of Mechanicsville, Va.; and a great-grandson, Shane Gladysz of Mechanicsville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Sandra Jane Gladysz; a brother, Joseph Gladysz, and a sister, Wadja Malenky.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick Church.

Agnes Kollar, 86
YOUNGSTOWN Agnes Kollar, 86, of the citys west side, passed away early Friday morning at Omni Manner Assisted Living Residence.
Agnes was born on April 29, 1923, in Youngstown, the youngest child of John and Mary Yurko Selesnak.
She was a member of the Holy Name Of Jesus Catholic Church, attended Chaney High School and worked for the General Electric Company before her marriage.
Her husband, Andrew Kollar, whom she married Aug. 5, 1946, died on June 23, 1997.
She and her husband were active members of the U.S. Steel bowling and golf leagues.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Marie (James) Savage of Austintown; a sister, Margaret Carnessali of Youngstown; a granddaughter, Christine (Richard) Keagy of Charlotte, N.C.; a grandson, Michael (Jennifer) Savage of Columbus; and three great-granddaughters, Julia, Madison and Eden Keagy.
Three sisters, Anne Dolak, Mary Shamsak, Elizabeth Domokus, and three brothers, Andrew, John and Emil, are deceased.
The family wishes to thank the dedicated staff of West Haven at Omni Manor Assisted Living Center as well as the staff of Grace Hospice for their care and compassion.

Gordon Kenneth McDonald
BROOKFIELD Gordon Kenneth McDonald, of 7298 Brookwood Drive, passed away July 11, 2009, at 12:35 a.m. in Sharon Regional Hospital.
Gordon was born July 12, 1929, in Farrell, Pa., to James and Mary Jane Bowan McDonald.
He graduated from Farrell High School in 1947. During his senior year, he began working at the former Westinghouse Plant, where he had many friends and acquaintances. He was a marine, serving in the 1950s as a guard at the Embassy in London, England, and having many stories to relate.
He played basketball for Westinghouse and loved the game of golf. After retirement, he worked and spent much of his free time at the Tam OShanter Golf Course.
Gordon leaves to cherish his memory, his nieces and nephews, Beverly Maio and Barbara Lazor, both of Cleveland, John Lenzi and wife Ruthann of Sharon, Pa., Gary Lenzi of Hermitage, Pa., Richard Lenzi and wife Beth of Austintown, Debra Bobish and husband Greg of Farrell, Wendy Chapin and husband Randy of West Middlesex, Pa., and Kelly Guido and husband David of Sharon; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, including two very special ones, Jason Lenzi and Donald Stein; a sister-in-law, Shirley McDonald of Sharon; his ex-wife, Helen McDonald; three stepdaughters, Patti Rapp of Park City, Utah, Deborah Sorlie of Carlsbad, Calif., and Melissa Rapp of Sharpsville, Pa.; three stepgrandchildren; and his Maltese friend, Bailey.
Gordon enjoyed family and friends and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Virginia Lazor and Marie Lenzi; and two brothers, Curtis Corky McDonald and Philip Red McDonald.

Raymond H. Moran, 54
YOUNGSTOWN Private services will be held for Raymond H. Moran, 54, who passed away Thursday morning at Forum Health Northside Medical Center.
Raymond was born June 15, 1955, in Youngstown, the son of Raymond J. and Evelyn E. Crump Moran, and was a lifelong area resident.
He attended Boardman High School and then joined the U.S. Army from 1972 to 1977. After returning from the service, he worked as a baker and as a steel worker.
Ray was a member of AA and American Legion Post No. 301.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Youn Oh Moran, whom he married April 4, 1974; and two brothers, one of North Royalton and one of Youngstown; and a sister, also of Youngstown.

RICHMOND HEIGHTS John C. Rosace Jr., M.D., 45, died July 11, 2009, at Hospice House in Cleveland
He was born March 17, 1964 in Girard.
John was a pediatrician with an office in Mentor.
He coached football and baseball, was active with Boy Scouts and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan
John is survived by his wife, Regina (Pisaneschi) Rosace; his children, Dominic, Joseph, Samuel, Salvatore, Angelo, Lucia, Vito, Augie and Carmela; his parents, John Sr. and Madeline Rosace; his brothers, David (Pam), Peter (Nichol) and Michael (Michelle) Rosace; his wifes parents, Dan and Sandra Pisaneschi; his brother-in-law, Dan (Melissa) Pisaneschi; and his sister-in-law, Lisa (John) Lambert.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at St. Felicitas Church, 140 Richmond Road in Euclid.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Brickman Bros. Funeral Home, 37433 Euclid Ave. in Willoughby.

Robert Rousher, 70
ST. JAMES CITY, FLA. Robert Rousher, 70, formerly of Poland, died peacefully Sunday, July 5, at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Fla.
He was born the son of Edward and Marguerite Rousher in Youngstown on Sept. 28, 1938.
Bob was a graduate of Wilson High School. He worked at the Falcon Foundry in Lowellville for 35 years, where he managed the machine shop. He will be remembered as a beloved mentor and coach at Boardman Little League and was instrumental in the creation of the Boardman High School softball team. Bob was a member of the Maennerchor German Club and the Eagles Club. He was an avid golfer, bowler, and enjoyed going to NASCAR events.
The love of his life, his wife Marlea, whom he married May 14, 1960, passed away in July of 2005.
He leaves his children, Cindy Thomas of Canfield and David Rousher (Margaret) of Fort Myers, Fla., Peggy Brinson (Melville) of St James City, Fla. and Donna Rousher of Poland; as well as six grandchildren, Angela and Alyssa Thomas, Luke Rousher, Suzanne and Shep Brinson and Victoria Rousher. He is also survived by a sister, Alice Miglets (Andrew) and a brother, Pete Rousher.
Bob will be missed by his family and all of the people that had the fortune to know him. He was generous in spirit and was a mentor to many.
A private memorial service will be held.

Gary was born July 3, 1953, in Youngstown, a son of Lawrence and Mildred (Malcolmson) Rowthorn.
Gary will be sadly missed by his father of Union City, Pa.; two brothers, David Rowthorn of Pepper Pike and Larry Rowthorn of Phoenix; and two sisters, Linda Brooks of Espyville, Pa., and Debra Whitmarsh of McDonald.
Gary was preceded in death by his mother.

Rosa M. Scala, 86
LIBERTY A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday at St. Rose Church in Girard for Rosa M. Scala, 86, who died Friday, July 10, 2009, at Hospice House in Poland.
She was born Jan. 22, 1923, in Isola del Liri, Frosinone, Italy, the daughter of the late Raffaele and Chiara (Villa) Scala.
She had worked many years as a seamstress in Washington, D.C. After retiring, she moved to be near her sister, Sr. M. Chiara Scala of the Oblate Sisters of the Sacred Heart in Liberty. Sr. Scala passed away in 2004.
Besides her parents and Sr. Scala, she was preceded in death by a sister, Bernice and a brother, Luigi.
She is survived by the Oblate Sisters, and nieces and nephews in Toronto, Canada.
Calling hours will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Rose Church, before the Mass.

Rose Marie Spagnola, 84
WARREN A memorial Mass will be held Saturday, July 25, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 3020 Reeves Road N.E. in Warren, with the Rev. Donald King officiating, for Rose Marie Spagnola, 84, formerly of Campbell, who passed away Monday morning at Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Home.
Rose was born Dec. 1, 1924, in Campbell, the daughter of Angelo and Giovanna Poalucci Marucci.
She was a longtime member of St. Lucys Church in Campbell. Besides being a homemaker, she was an executive assistant to the vice-president at Truscon and worked as a teachers assistant for the Youngstown Schools later in her life.
She was an avid supporter of the arts and was very passionate about classical music. Her favorite pastimes included knitting, swimming and enjoying the company of her family, friends and especially her grandchildren.
Her husband, Raymond J. Spagnola, whom she married, May 6, 1950, passed away Aug. 30, 2005.
She leaves to cherish her memory her three children, Jane (Steve) Duca of Howland, Mary (Dr. Doug) Schumacher of Columbus and Dr. Nicholas (Dr. Janis Roberts) Spagnola of Troy, Ohio; nine granchildren, Jennifer, Marco, Dominic, Graham, Luke, Gabe, Adam, Cole and Karli; one sister, Lynn (Cy) Borho of Peoria, Ill.; and one brother, James Marucci of Austintown.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond; a son, Raymond J. Spagnola Jr.; and a sister, Julia Eusanio.

TOPEKA, KAN. A graveside service celebrating the life of Mr. Kevin L. Williams, 46, formerly of Youngstown, who departed this life July 5, 2009, in Topeka, will be held Tuesday at 11 am at Tod Homestead Cemetery.
Mr. Williams was born July 31, 1962, in Youngstown, a son of Willie and Algena Chambers Jemirson. He relocated to Topeka several years ago and worked as a chef in various restaurants.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother of Youngstown; his sister, Elizabeth Jemirson of Alliance; two nieces; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, who reared him, and his grandparents, Isaiah and Ethel Lewis.

Jessica Zifchak, 24
GIRARD Private services were held for Jessica Zifchak, 24, who died Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at Forum Health Northside Medical Center after a courageous battle with Hodgkins Lymphoma.
She was born Sept. 27, 1984, in Youngstown, the daughter of John and Chris (Roth) Zifchak.
She graduated Girard High School in 2003 and attended Walsh College. She then transferred to Bowling Green University to study nursing when she became ill.
She got great joy helping care for her cousins, Lori and Rocky Ferreri, son, Rocco. Her strength and her courage inspired many.
She is survived by her parents, John and Chris of Girard; her sister, Nicole Zifchak of Plantation, Fla.; her twin sister and best friend, Stefanie (Adam) Hanley of New Albany; maternal grandparents, Steve and Magda Roth of Poland; paternal grandparents, John and Jean Zifchak of Stuthers; two aunts, Karin (Mike) Tatar and Diane (Nick) Jordan; and many other friends and relatives.
Special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff of both the Boardman Hope Center for Cancer Care and Forum Northside Medical Center.
