Ida M. Boggia, 82

LOWELLVILLE – Ida M. Boggia, 82, died July 19, 2009 at the emergency room at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.

Mrs. Boggia was born March 15, 1927 in Lowellville, a daughter of Phillip and Elvera DeJulius Butch. She was a lifelong resident of Lowellville.

She was a 1945 graduate of Lowellville High School. Prior to her marriage and raising her children, she was employed by Peoples Bank in Youngstown.

She was a member of the Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Lowellville and its Ladies Guild. She also belonged to the Mt. Carmel Ladies Society, where she was captain of the Becker Funeral Home Bocce Team. She enjoyed playing cards and meeting monthly to play with her dear friends.

She was a humble woman, known for her genuine kindness. She enjoyed taking care of her family and cooking for them and her neighbors’ pets. Mrs. Boggia loved watching her grandchildren’s music concerts and sporting events. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who gave herself unselfishly to these endeavors.

She leaves her husband, Alfred A. Boggia, whom she married Nov. 21, 1953; four daughters, Mary Beth (Rick) Partika of Poland, Lisa (James) Perry, Kelly (Ed) Tkach and Jeanne (Joe) DePasquale, all of Lowellville; two sons, Alfred A. (Tonya) Boggia Jr. and Robert Boggia of Lowellville; a sister, Mary Butch of Lowellville; a brother, Donald (Barbara) Butch of Summerville, S.C.; 10 grandchildren, Marisha, Bryan, and Katarina Partika, Jimmy Perry, Geno and Giavanna Tkach, Joey and Paolo DePasquale, and Antonina and Antonio Boggia.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Michael Boggia; three sisters, Nora Pisciuneri, Erma Knoc, and Lucy Hritz; and three brothers, Dominic, Phillip, and Guy Butch.

Services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Lowellville and 10:30 a.m. at the Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. Interment will follow at the Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Cemetery.

Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Vern W. (Murphy) Davison

POLAND – Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Heritage Presbyterian Church, 1952 Mathews Road in Poland, for Vern W. (Murphy) Davison, who died July 19, 2009, of complications of a heart attack.

He was born Oct. 21, 1926 in Youngstown, the son of Robert A. and Thelma Orr Davison.

He graduated from Wilson High School as president of the class of June 1944. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy Air Corps and served in World War II. He attained the rank of lieutenant junior grade.

He graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College in 1948, where he was a member of the football and track teams and Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. He also attended the University of Notre Dame, Naval Officers Training School and Youngstown College Law School.

Vern was a member of the Brownlee Woods Presbyterian Church, where he served as deacon, trustee and elder. The Brownlee Woods Presbyterian Church merged with the John Calvin and St. Paul UCC Church in 2007, where he continued to serve as an elder. He also served as a Cub Scout leader and manager in the Poland Little League.

Vern was purchasing agent and traffic manager for Harris Fabricating Co. and Hy-Way Heat Systems. In 1986, he started the Town One Co., which he sold in 2007. He belonged to the Protestant Golf League and also enjoyed working with stained glass and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Lois (Stoeber) Davison of Poland, whom he was married for 60 years; a daughter, Jill (Bill) Downie of Youngstown; a son, Tedd (Gail) Davison of Greenwood, S.C.; 11 grandchildren, Melissa (Brad) Walker of Canfield, Sara Davison (Nick Rodland) of Poland, Katie Davison (Gebil Gebremedhin) of the Netherlands, Grace Weaver (Jon Geiger) of Poland, Mike Simpson (Temple) of Charleston, S.C., Mandy (Jay) Crouch of Clemons, N.C., Dale Downie of Columbus and Beth Downie of Austintown; six great-grandchildren, Paul, Drew and Jake Walker of Canfield, Kaitlin, Nora and Kim Crouch of Clemons.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert O. Davison; and two sisters, Ruth Bradford and Betty Uehlinger.

He was friends to all.

The family will be receiving friends Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel and Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Hermitage Presbyterian Church.

Burial will be at Lake Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be sent to the Memorial Fund at the Heritage Presbyterian Church.

Joseph DelBane, 93

HUBBARD – Joseph DelBane, 93, died Sunday, July 19, 2009, at Forum Health Northside Medical Center.

He was born on Oct. 11, 1915, a son of Louis and Theresa Carsone DelBane, and was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. DelBane was a press operator for General Fireproofing for 30 years, retiring in 1978. He was a member of St. Patrick Church in Hubbard. Joseph served with the U.S. Army, serving in the European Theater and was a member of the VFW Hubbard Post No. 3767.

He leaves two sisters, Mary and Lena DelBane, both of Hubbard.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Frank, Michael, John and Anthony DelBane.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Church.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday, one hour prior to the services at the funeral home from 9 to 10 a.m.

Robert E. Eberhart, 91

BOARDMAN – Robert E. Eberhart, 91, the son of Daniel and Kathryn Eberhart, was born June 23, 1918 in Youngstown.

He graduated from The Rayen School and The Ohio State University. He was a World War II veteran with the U.S. Marine Corp. After the war, he went to work in the Rod and Wire Mill of Youngstown Sheet & Tube Company. He retired from there as vice president of Benefits.

He was active in the Boardman United Methodist Church and the Boardman Booster Club, where he was once president. He spearheaded the project to develop and build the new Boardman Stadium in 1963.

Robert was preceded in death last year by Kay, his beloved wife of 61 years.

He leaves behind two sons, Mark of Boardman and Jeff and his wife Lorrie of Tampa, Fla.; three grandchildren, Mark and his wife Jennie of Denver, Whitney Burton of Albuquerque, N.M. and Joshua of Tampa; and three great-granddaughters, Avery, Elise and Addison, all of Denver.

There will be no services per Bob’s wishes.

He passed away in peace Friday evening and he will be buried in peace at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Kay. They are together again forever.

Rosalie D. Gay, 95

YOUNGSTOWN – Visitation for family and friends will be held at the Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 420 Clearmount Drive, in Youngstown on Thursday at 10 a.m., with church services at 11 a.m. for Rosalie D. Gay, 95, who died on July 18, 2009, at her residence.

Rosalie was born on Sept. 13, 1913 in Williamsfield, the daughter of J. Harry and Mollie Bridgeman Davis. Her ancestors were early settles of Ashtabula County.

She graduated from Williamsfield High School in 1931. She attended the University of Michigan, the University of Colorado and graduated from Ohio University. She taught grade school in the Ashtabula County, was a homemaker, and later returned to teaching in the Youngstown City School System.

She was a faithful and longtime member of the Martin Luther Lutheran Church, where she generously gave of her time and talents. She was an active member of the choir for many years. She served as a Sunday school teacher, president of the Martin Luther Church Women and was a member of Naomi Circle. She enjoyed gardening, travel, reading and her family and friends.

Her husband, Gordan M. Gay, whom she married on Aug. 31, 1940, who died on Sept. 11, 1986.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Geoffrey V.; and brothers, Woodford and Gerald Davis.

Rosalie is survived by her sister, Barbara Hillyer of Jefferson; her four children, Suzanne G. McPhee of Santa Rosa, Calif., Cynthia G. (John) Goldcamp of Barrington, Ill., Gregory P. (Nancy) Gay of Austintown and Priscilla (James) Fitori of Boardman; eight grandchildren, Mollie McPee Ho of Carlisle, Mass., J. Scott McPhee of Walnut Creek, Calif., John S. Goldcamp IV of Northbrook, Ill., Aimee D. Goldcamp of San Diego, Geoffrey M. Gay of Mt. Gilead, James R. Fitori Jr. of Columbus, Sarah E. Gay of Dublin and Elizabeth F. Masternick of Canfield; and five great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Goldcamp, Madeleine R. Ho, Jack Goldcamp, Charles Goldcamp and Jack McPhee.

Interment will take place in Williamsfield at the West Williamsfield Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that Rosalie be remembered through donations made to the Martin Luther Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, or Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Youngstown, OH 44512.

Tommie L. Harden, 54

HUACHUCA CITY, ARIZ.– Tommie L. Harden, 54, left this life on Friday, July 10, 2009, and had been a resident for 24 years.

Tommie was born Jan. 22, 1955 in Youngstown to Thomas and Sylvia Spivey

She graduated from North High School in Youngstown in 1973.

She received a degree from Youngstown College of Business and Professional Drafting.

She was working on her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Phoenix in Sierra Vista, Ariz.

Her previous jobs include U.S. Post Office, and an apartment manager for McGuffey Terrace, both in Youngstown. She worked as a budget analyst for the Department of the Army-Comptroller Office for more than 20 years in Fort Huachuca.

Tommie married Walter Harden on May 20, 1978, at the First Baptist Church in Youngstown.

Tommie was active in the Tombstone Booster Club, ASMC and a member of the Bethlehem Holy Ghost Headquarters Church for 24 years, where she was active in the Sunday School Department, the usher board chairman, and an intricate part of the Christian Women’s Alliance (CWA).

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Walter; her children, daughters, Lolethea Harden and her companion, Anthony Woods, Shavon Harden and her companion, David Evans Jr. and Ashley Mason and her husband, Bryant Mason; a son, Andrell Harden; siblings, Ann Spivey, Marvin Spivey and Thomas Spivey Jr.; a grandmother, Illar Smith; grandchildren, Chenie’ka Harden, Angelique Williams, Oscar Williams Jr. (Lolethea), Sydney and Olivia Harden (Andrell), Kenaii King, Tru’Nell Evans (Shavon) and Jaydon Mason (Ashley); great-grandchild, Amonte’ Edwards; godchildren, Ja’meen Oliver, Dominiek Banks, Ciara Stanley, Davanta James, Omari Hughes and Antionette Carradine; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and a host of friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 23, 2009, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Hatfield Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 24, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at the Fort Huachuca Main Post Chapel.


Katherine E. Hornyak, 65

CAMPBELL – Private services were held for Katherine E. (Mathews) Hornyak, 65, who passed away Friday morning, surrounded by her husband of 45 years, Andrew Hornyak, whom she married on May 7, 1963; four children, Mary Kay Inghram of Boardman, Andrew J. (Julie) Hornyak of Wisconsin, Patricia (Dougles) Rice of Campbell and John P. (Raquel) Hornyak of Virginia Beach, Va.; five grandchildren, whom she truly loved, Matthew J. Inghram, James A. Inghram, Douglas W. Rice, Julie C. Rice and Andrew J. Rice; and two brothers, John (Marge) Mathews of South Carolina and Thomas (Barb) Mathews of Boardman.

 Katherine was born Sept. 12, 1943 in Youngstown, the daughter of John and Julia Bees Mathews.

She was a 1962 graduate of Ursuline High School and attended Youngstown State University, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Education, and then continued to further her education by receiving her master’s degree.

Katherine worked for the Youngstown City Schools for 26 years, teaching at Cleveland Elementary School, and retired from Taft School in July 2009.

She volunteered her time as a Campfire Leader and was involved in district candy sales for the campfire girls, a Blue Bird Leader, assisted with the Cub Scouts, served as president of the Ursuline Band Boosters, and was a member of the Youngstown State University Alumni Association.

She also leaves a sister, Patricia (Paul) Pancoe of Youngstown.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jessica E. Inghram.

The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Malmer and his staff, the nurses at the Hope Center and MVI Hospice for their wonderful care.

Andrew J. Kadvan Jr., 59

POLAND – The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, July 23, 2009 at 10 a.m. at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Struthers for Mr. Andrew J. Kadvan Jr., 59, who died Saturday morning at his home.

He was born June 4, 1950 in Youngstown, a son of Andrew J. and Christine Rose Naples Kadvan Sr.

Andrew was a 1968 graduate of Struthers High School and a graduate of ATS. He was a member of the church, VFW Post No. 93, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 213; Mahoning Valley Amateur Radio Association, and he was an avid Steelers fan.

His greatest joy was his family which he loved to watch his family play sports.

Andrew leaves his wife, the former Betty Ann Popovich whom he married Sept. 30, 1972; his mother, Christine Kadvan of Struthers; a daughter, Lisa (Alan) Clark of Poland; a son, Michael (Lisa) Kadvan of Poland; two sisters, Margaret “Moggie” (Thomas) Bero of Poland and Tina (Thomas) Gilpin of Struthers; a brother, Gary Kadvan of Struthers; three grandchildren, Meghan, Christopher and Lauren; father-in-law, Henry Popovich of New Middletown; three sisters-in-law, Debbie (Terry) VanSuch, Doreen (Robert) Chance and Laurie (Ken) Goist; two brothers-in-law, Joe (Gina) Popovich and Vincent Tisone; and nieces and nephews, Aaron (Jennifer) Bero, Mandi (Dr. Douglas) Musser, Joshua Bero, Ralph and Jason Gilpin, Ronnie and Sergio Galazia, Nichole Frey, Christopher Kadvan, Nick Mshar, Jillian VanSuch, Teri (Jon) Gorski, Lt. Josephine Parillo, 96

GIRARD – Josephine Parillo, 96, passed away Sunday evening.

Josephine was born April 15, 1913 in Girard, the daughter of Vincenzo and Angeline (Migliozzi) Maderitz.

Josephine was a member of St. Rose Church in Girard.

When she was two years old, she moved to Italy and remained there until 1953, when she returned to Girard with her husband, Giuseppe Parillo and their six children.

She married Giuseppe Parillo on Feb. 12, 1934, and he passed away Aug. 2, 1975.

Josephine is survived by three sons, Rocco and Rosemarie Parillo and Vincent and Laura Parillo, both of Girard and Luciano and Marilyn Parillo of Canfield; three daughters, Sarafina and John Creatura and Angeline, Carolyn and Sam Martuccio, all of Girard; 19 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Giuseppe; and two brothers, Tony and Ralph Maderitz.

Calling hours will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the McClurkin Funeral Home.

A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday morning at St. Rose Church.

Kathleen E. Rider

YOUNGSTOWN – Prayers will begin at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Christine Catholic Church for Kathleen E. Rider, who died Saturday, July 18.

Kathleen was born in Sharpsville, Pa. on July 13, 1921, daughter of Patrick and Catherine (Casey) Marrie. She moved to Youngstown as a young child.

She graduated from East High School and attended Youngstown College. She was a homemaker and her home was always open to visitors. Kathleen loved to travel with her son and daughter, she was a supporter and volunteer of Meshel MASCO Workshop, she enjoyed bowling, playing cards, especially her two monthly card clubs. She was proud of and loved her grandchildren and enjoyed attending their athletic and musical events.

Her husband, John W. Rider, whom she married May 17, 1947, died Aug. 26, 1999.

Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Mary Beth Cammarano and her husband, Daniel of West Palm Beach, Fla.; her sons, Jack Rider and his wife, Jeanne of Boardman, Bobby and Tom Rider of the home; a brother, Patrick Marrie and his wife, Jean of Boardman; sister-in-law, Ann Mae Marrie and John Opritza; and grandchildren, Brian Rider and his wife, Amanda of Plano, Ill., Kristi Rider of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Lauren Rider of Boardman.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Lou Opritza and Nancy Marrie and brother, Robert Marrie.

The family would like to thank her caregivers, Tom, Carol, Dorothy and Elaine for their loving care for the past year and a half.

The family will be receiving friends Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home in Austintown.

Roseanne Scenna, 85

BOARDMAN – Roseanne Scenna, 85, formerly of Applewood Acres, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.

She was born April 15, 1924 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Vincent and Christina (Barale) Chiarello.

She was the wife of the late Oliver C. Scenna, whom she married May 18, 1946.

Family includes daughter, Renee (Jeff) Althouse of St. Cloud, Fla.; son, Rodney (Karen) Scenna of Boardman; brother, Joseph Chiarello of Youngstown; sister, Margaret Sympson of Youngstown; and grandchildren, Craig Bunofsky, Erich Bunofsky, Lisa Bunofsky, Christopher Scenna, Patrick Scenna and Timothy Scenna.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Paul Chiarello, Ross Chiarello, Tony Chiarello and Frank Chiarello; and a sister, Virginia Phillips.

She was a charter member of St. Luke Church and a 1943 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. She was a homemaker and worked as a welder at Truscon during World War II. She enjoyed crochet, knitting and sewing and being a member of Applewood Ladies Card Club.

Roseanne shared the last few years of her life with both of her children living six months in Florida and six months in Boardman.

Calling hours will be today from 4 to 7 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 to 9:30 a.m. at the Fabrizio Funeral Home, 619 E. Indianola Ave. in Youngstown.

Her services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Luke Church.


Albert M. Scudier, 81

HUBBARD – There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Hubbard for Albert M. Scudier, 81, who passed away Sunday at St. Elizabeth Health Center.

Albert was born April 3, 1928 in Youngstown, a son of Dominic and Frances DiBacco Scudier and came to Hubbard in 1961.

He had been a barber in Hubbard and worked at Youngstown Sheet and Tube Campbell Works in the open hearth for 30 years and later worked at Liberty Steel Products Hubbard Plant.

He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his wife, the former Alice M. Stefanski, whom he married July 3, 1954. He also leaves his sons, Albert M. Scudier Jr. of Hubbard and Michael (Mary K.) Scudier of Youngstown; his daughter, Debbie Kollar of Hubbard; and seven grandchildren, Jonathan Richards, Janel Kollar, Michelle McMeechan, Stephanie Kollar, Kelly Kollar, Jack Scudier and Luke Scudier.

He also leaves his sister, Virginia Benedik of California and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ralph, John, Edward and Raymond; and his sisters, Anita Thomas, Eva Serman and Antoinette Scudier.

There will be calling hours Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m., and prayers at 9:15 a.m. on Thursday at the Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery.

Elvina “Skinny” Tareshawty, 78

JUPITER, FLA. – Elvina “Skinny” Tareshawty, 78, of Jupiter and Poland, passed away on June 4, 2009.

She was born in Youngstown on Aug. 3, 1930, a daughter of Lucia Saccorsi and Sante D’Appollonio.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene; her four children, Sandra Williamson, Darlene Heckman, Camille Tareshawty and Dr. Eugene Jr. Tareshawty; her sister-in-law, Veneta Tareshawty; six grandchildren; and four great-grandsons.

There will be a memorial Mass on Thursday at St. Edward Church in Youngstown.


Kenneth R. Ward, 80

HUBBARD – Kenneth R. Ward, 80, died Sunday July 19, 2009, at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

He was born Jan. 11, 1929 in Hubbard, a son of Edgar and Marie A. Anderson Ward and was a life long area resident.

Mr. Ward was a self-employed truck driver for 30 years, and after retirement he drove cars for several area car dealerships. He was a member of the Corner House Christian Church in Hubbard, served with the U.S. Navy and was a member of the VFW Hubbard Post No. 3767. Kenneth was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Hubbard Eagles football games.

His wife, the former Tina J. Esther, died Oct. 23, 1976.

He leaves three sons, Kenny (Kathy) Ward of Boardman and Tony (Bev) Ward and Kevin (Jeanette) Ward, both of Austintown; a daughter, Marie (Bill) Johnson of Hubbard; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Rocco Anthony Johnson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.

Martha Williams, 89

“Together Again”

YOUNGSTOWN – A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Tabernacle Baptist Church for Mrs. Martha Williams, 89, who departed this life Thursday, July 16, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Health Center.

Mrs. Williams was born July 9, 1920 in Eastman, Ga., a daughter of Gus and Addie Mae Ward Hall.

She was a member of the church and was known for her cake and pies, and helping those in need.

Her husband, Harvey Williams, whom she married 1944, passed away in 1979.

She leaves her children, Anna Mae Curry and David L. (Sandra C.) Williams, both of Youngstown; two sisters, Delores (Charles) Favors of Florida and Marie Simon of Youngstown; grandchildren, Akim Lattermore and David, Damion, Darryl and Donal Williams; two great-grandchildren, Saquoya (Gregory) Townsend and Armoni Lattermore-Abrams; two great-great-grandchildren, G’Onna and Torri Townsend; and a niece, Arlivian Parker, all of Youngstown.

She was preceded in death by 16 siblings, including, Ann Toledo, Bobbie Hall, Jimmie Lee Heath and Elbert, Ray and Ron Hall.

Arrangements are being handled by the F.D. Mason Memorial Funeral Home.

Joseph P. Yasnowski, 83

SOUTH PYMATUNING TOWNSHIP, PA. – Joseph P. Yasnowski, 83, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 19, 2009, surrounded by his family.

Mr. Yasnowski was born June 4, 1926 in Slickville, Pa., a son of the late Philip and Josephine (Michaluk) Yasnowsky.

He married the former Pauline Zdelar of Brookfield on Oct. 2, 1954 in Youngstown, and together they would share 54 years of marriage.

As a child, Mr. Yasnowski attended Lone Star Schoolhouse in South Pymatuning. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Byzantine Catholic Church in Youngstown. He was dedicated to his church and was supportive of its many activities most notably the pyrohi project. He was a member of the former Ukrainian National Association and the Providence Association of Ukrainian Catholics of America.

Mr. Yasnowski was proud of his Ukrainian heritage and also supported and enjoyed the music and culture of other Eastern European Nationalities. He especially enjoyed dancing and listening to polka music.

Joseph was a dedicated and hard worker throughout his life even as a young boy starting out working on his family farm. His love of farming would carry on throughout his life on his farm in South Pymatuning. Joseph also had worked for Shenango Furnace in Sharpsville, Pa., before going to work at Sharon Steel Corporation, where he would work in the Coating and Slitting Departments for more than 41 years, before retiring in 1988. He was also a member of the United Steel Workers of America.

He was a loving, devoted and unselfish husband, father and grandfather, who always put his family and faith before himself.

Mr. Yasnowski is survived by his wife, Pauline; his seven sons, Frank (Lucy) Yasnowski of Solon, Fred (Lillian) Yasnowski of Lordstown, Dan (Juliana) Yasnowski of Hermitage, Pa., Mike Yasnowski of Dublin, Tom (Kelly) Yasnowski of Camp Hill, Pa., Joe (Sarah) Yasnowski of Westerville and John (Bernice) Yasnowski of Summit, N.J.; his two daughters, Julia (Tom) Wike of Brookfield and Pam (John) Celeste of Bellevue, Pa.; and his 17 grandchildren, Frank, Melissa, Paul, Nicole, Ronald, Mary, Tommy, Payton, Alec, Lexa, Carrie, Amy, Molly, Ben, Jacob, Jared and Rachel.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Yasnowsky; and his two sisters, Julia Yasnowsky and Mary Jeglinski.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at the Lane Funeral Homes, Madasz Chapel, 6923 Warren-Sharon Road in Brookfield from 4 to 8 p.m., where a Panachida service will be recited at 7 p.m.

Closing prayers of the Parastas service will be recited at 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2009, at the funeral home, followed by a funeral Liturgy beginning at 11 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, 526 West Rayen Ave. in Youngstown, with Father Steven Zarichny officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Hermitage.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Sharon Regional Hospice and Palliative Care, 740 E. State St., Sharon, PA 16146.
