Dr. Samuel G. Adornato, 75
SAND SPRINGS, OKLA. Samuel G. Adornato, 75, formerly of Youngstown, passed away at his home on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009.
He was born on Dec. 15, 1933, the son of George and Serene Adornato.
He attended Woodrow Wilson High School, Case Western Reserve University and the Ohio State University School of Medicine. After earning his medical degree in otolaryngology, he entered medical practice with Drs. Goodwin and Malkoff in Youngstown in 1964, practicing until 2002 when he retired from the Fifth Avenue Otolaryngologists.
He spent his retirement in Oklahoma golfing, woodworking, and fishing, and he made frequent visits to his children and grandchildren in Virginia and North Carolina.
He is survived by his wife, the former Bettyann Kubina and his four children, Viki Adornato of Charlotte, N.C., Todd Adornato of Broken Arrow, Okla., Kristi Carter of Harrisonburg, Va. and Wendy Adornato of Charlotte. He is also survived by his sister, Adeline Duncko of Poland, Ohio and two grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and two sisters, Eleanora Adornato and Nancy Dodds.

Faye R. Burns, 86
HUBBARD There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24, at St. Patrick Catholic Church for Faye R. Burns, 86, who passed away Monday, Sept. 21, at home, with her family at her side.
Faye was born March 27, 1923 in Vigo Park, Texas, a daughter of George and Mattie Leonard Cope, and moved to Hubbard in 1951.
During World War II, Faye supported the war efforts and worked as a clerical worker in Washington, D.C., and later worked at an ammunitions factory.
She was a homemaker and a lifelong member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Faye loved flowers, gardening and animals. She also enjoyed family vacations, going to the ocean and casinos.
Her husband of 64 years, Edward F. Burns, whom she married Feb. 24, 1944, passed away Sept. 20, 2008.
She leaves four sons, Patrick (Kathryn) Burns of Norwich, Conn., Edward Burns of Canton, Kevin (Celeste) Burns of Huntertown, Ind. and Mark (Regina) Burns of Aurora; three daughters, Carol Burns of Hubbard, Marilyn Burns of Niles and Marian (Louis) Harris of West Middlesex, Pa.; 21 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Van Cope.
There will be calling hours Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and prayers Thursday at 9:15 a.m. at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.

YOUNGSTOWN There will be funeral services at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Luke Catholic Church, with the Rev. Joseph Fata celebrating for Ida Camardo, 93, who passed away Sunday afternoon, Sept. 20.
Ida was born June 10, 1916 in Youngstown, the daughter of Carmen and Rose (Carmasino) Milano.
She was employed at the Woolworth Company for 30 years and the Mahoning County Tuberculosis Sanitorium for 16 years.
Ida was a charter member of St. Luke Catholic Church.
Her husband, John Camardo, whom she married Aug. 27, 1949, passed away Oct. 11, 1979.
Ida will always be remembered by her brother, William Milano of Youngstown; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ernie, Eugene Bunny and Patsy Milano; and sisters, Angeline Volio, Josephine Bizzari and Mary Karaisz.

Bridget Aurilio Cariglio, 91
GIRARD Bridget Aurilio Cariglio, 91, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren.
She was born Sept. 21, 1917, in Niles, the daughter of the late Joseph and Angeline (Gilardi) LaPolla.
She had been employed by the Girard School System, Strouss Department Store and Packard Electric.
She was a member of St. Rose Church. She loved playing cards, polka dancing, baking, and her grandchildren.
She married Michael Aurilio in September of 1936 and he passed away Feb. 11, 1972. She married Matthew Cariglio in August of 1976 and he passed away in 1982.
She is survived by her son, Joseph R. (Louise) Aurilio of Girard; a daughter, Sandra (Tom) Calderone of Howland; a brother, Anthony LaPolla of California; two sisters, Caroline Skiffey and Doris Capito, both of Niles; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Andrew and Michael Aurilio; three sisters, Marion Massar, Margaret Much and Lucile Cerello; and two brothers, Nick and Gary LaPolla.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the McClurkin Funeral Home in Girard.

Earl V. Budd Gallatin, 84
NEW MIDDLETOWN Earl V. Budd Gallatin, 84, died Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009, at the Masternick Memorial Health Care Center in New Middletown.
He was born July 17, 1925 in Youngstown, moving to New Middletown as an infant and had been a lifelong resident of the village.
He was the son of C. Vernon and Camille Myers Gallatin.
He retired from Sears, formerly retired from the Automatic Sprinkler Corporation of Youngstown and worked as a plumber with Carl Maurer Plumbing and Heating.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having served 2 1/2 years in the South Pacific during World War II. He spent 20 years as a Little League Baseball coach in Springfield Township. He was a graduate of Springfield Township High School. He was a charter member of the Alibi Hunting Club and of the New Middletown Sportsmans Club. He was a member of the Ohio Farm Bureau. He was also inducted into the Springfield Local High School Athletic Hall of Fame.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Julia (Wire) Gallatin, whom he married May 21, 1948 and also several nieces and nephews.
Budd was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Esther Gallatin Mace.
There will be no calling hours or funeral services.

YOUNGSTOWN JoAnn Elizabeth Jones passed away Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
She was born in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Casimir Sibiga and Mary Sibiga.
She was the wife of Thomas J. Jones Sr., whom she married Feb. 14, 1965.
The family includes husband, Thomas J. Jones Sr. of Youngstown; daughter, Sheryl and Albert DelGreco of Canfield; two sons, Thomas J. and Deanna Jones Jr. of Austintown and Paul McAllister of Liberty; and three grandchildren, Tommy, Alyson and Michael Jones.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Battle; and two sisters, Colleen Ruhl and Dorothy Morrison.
Most of her adult life, she was an administrator for Windsor House Nursing Homes, before becoming a senior companion for Marcia Wolfe. She was a loving and caring person.
JoAnn will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends.
She was a member of St. Casimirs Church, president of St. Caseys Seniors, Altar and Rosary Society and a graduate of The Rayen School.

She was a sales representative for Airgas in Youngstown, attended the Real Life Assembly in Salem; and was a Girl Scout Leader for Troop 907 in Hubbard.
She leaves her husband, Jeff A Lester, whom she married Aug. 14, 1993; her daughter, Taylor May Lester, at home; her father, Richard Pangborn of Johnston; and her mother and stepfather, Judith and Gray Goncz of Hubbard. She also leaves her sister, Candy Reed of Lisbon.

GIRARD Joseph A. Manente, 74, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
He was born June 13, 1935, in Girard, the son of the late Carmen and Gabriella (Carson) Manente.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of St. Rose Church in Girard. He retired from the Girard Post Office after working 32 years as a mailman and was a former Girard City Councilman. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, playing cards, going to casinos, and most of all, spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Betty (Miller) Manente, whom he married Jan. 16, 1960; two children, Lisa Manente Leschinsky of Girard and Greg Manente (Sheri Hess-Manente) of Hartford; two brothers, Anthony Manenti of Austintown and Sam Manente of Mineral Ridge; and three grandchildren, Amanda, Jacob and Gianna.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters, Dominic Manenti, John Manenti, Steve Manente, Mary Manente and Carmel Manenti Cole.

CANFIELD There was a Mass of Christian Burial held today at St. michael Church in Canfield at 10 a.n. for Thomas B. McFarland III, 63, who died Thursday evening, Sept. 17, at Cleveland Clinic.
Mr. McFarland was born Jan. 19, 1946 in Youngstown, the son of Thomas B. and Florence K. Hoffman McFarland Jr.
He graduated from Ursuline High School in 1965 and received his BS and BA from Youngstown State University.
For the past 10 years, Mr. McFarland was owner of the mfarland Group, which sold hydraulic pumps and seals. before he started his company, he was employed at Youngstown Steel, MauSerwood, Sealing Technology and Summer Rubber.
Mr. McFarland was a member of St. Michael Church, the A.O.H and Glen Crest Lodge.
Besides his wife, the former Alberta S. Repasky, whom he married Sept. 6, 1969.
He is survived by two sons, Ryan K. McFarland of Clarkville, Tenn. and Christopher T. (Michelle) McFarland of Sagamore Hills; and one brother, John F. McFarland of Brighton, Mich.

Dominic J. Monaco, 91
CAMPBELL Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Lowellville with his son, the Rev. Don Scott Monaco officiating, for Dominic J. Monoco, 91, who passed away Monday morning at Hospice House.
Dominic was born March 19, 1918 in Bridgeport, Ohio, the son of Matthew and Anna Pratt Monaco.
He was a 1936 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and went on to graduate from Kent State University in 1942 with a BS in Education and from West Minister with a Masters in Education and a certificate in Guidance. He retired from Campbell Memorial High School as a Guidance Counselor.
He was a member of the Trinity Fellowship Church and the retired Teachers Association.
His wife, the former Mary Ann Putko, whom he married on July 28, 1943, passed away on May 2, 1994.
Dominic leaves to cherish his memory his children, Starr (Bill) Huston of Poland, Deborah (Henry) Miller of Campbell and Don Scott (Linda) of Boardman; four grandchildren, Starr Jones, Dominique Huston, Joel Monaco and Jared Monaco; one great-grandson, Cameron Jones; a brother, John Rega; and a sister, Rose Scarfo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Ann; and a brother, Michael Monaco.

WARREN There will be a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at noon on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, at the Blessed Sacrament Parish, with the Rev Donald E. King officiating for Virginia Ginny Louise Natale, 89, who died at 4:18 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at Forum Health with her family by her side.
She was born Aug. 7, 1920 in Franklin, Pa., the daughter of Francis B. and Theresa (Woods) Gregory.
At the age of 18, she was crowned Miss Oil City and shortly thereafter, moved to Warren with her family where she was employed by The Warner Company.
She enjoyed golfing and was a member of the old Avalon Chip-n-Putt and Candywood Womans Golf League. She also had been very active with Lincoln School PTA.
For all who knew Ginny, she will be remembered for her kind, caring, and thoughtful nature. Baking, especially her famous chocolate chip cookies, Christmas fudge and pizzelles for others always brought her pleasure. But most of all, she cherished her time spent with her family and all their holiday traditions.
Ginny married her husband, Victor Natale on May 15, 1948. Together they had four children, Thomas V. (Becke DDS) Natale, Nancee (Frank) Tempesta, Carol (Jeff) Kurdilla and Susan (Greg) Kokal, all of Warren; 13 grandchildren, Matthew, Lauren, Jennifer and John Natale, Tricia (Greg) Valent, Frankie (Athena) Tempesta, Machelle and Brian Tempesta, Jamie and Elizabeth Kurdilla and Michael, Anthony and Gregory Kokal; and four great-grandchildren, Gregory, Patrick and Thomas Valent and Gia Tempesta.
She is survived by her three daughters and a brother, Francis B. Buddy (Audrey) Gregory of Girard.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Victor in 1973; a son, Thomas in 1992; and her sister, Mary Jane (Ken) Musgrove.

Catherine Kay Pusch, 93
NORTH LIMA Catherine Kay Pusch, 93, formerly of Noel Drive in Youngstown, passed away peacefully late Sunday evening, Sept. 20, 2009, at Assumption Village after suffering complications from Alzheimers.
Catherine was born Feb. 2, 1916 in Pittsburgh, Pa., a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Patrick Nestor, and came with her family to Youngstown as a child in 1922.
Kay was a homemaker who dedicated her life to raising her children and caring for her grandsons.
Mrs. Pusch was a lifelong member of Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, its St. Mary Sisterhood, Senior U.O.L., Golden Agers Senior Citizens Group, church choir, and also taught Sunday School for many years. Kay was also a member of St. Brendan Church Sixty-Plus Club.
Catherines husband, Lewis Pusch, whom she married Sept. 2, 1939, passed away July 3, 1997.
Mrs. Pusch leaves three daughters, Ilene (Dr. Kenneth) Bonilla of Claremont, Calif., Donna (Edward) Bardgett of San Antonio, Texas and Kathi (Bill) Starr of Austintown; three grandsons, Joshua, Matthew and Ben Starr; two brothers, Michael Nestor of Las Vegas and John (Theresa) Nestor of Austintown; a sister, Stella Minger of Bossier City, La.; many nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Ann Sharfal of Youngstown.
Kay will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Besides her husband, a sister, Anne Antronica; two infant brothers; and a grandson, Aaron Starr, are deceased.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept., 23, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road in Youngstown, where a prayer service will take place at 6:30 p.m.

Veronica Seach, 89
CAMPBELL A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Wasko Funeral Home and at 11 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Msgr. John Zuraw officiating, for Veronica Seach, 89, previously of Tremble Avenue, who passed away gracefully from natural causes on Saturday at Grace Woods Senior Living Center in Niles.
Veronica was born Jan. 8, 1920 in Youngstown, the daughter of Josef and Susan Halay Tuchek.
She married her husband, Joseph, in 1950. They shared their love and lives together until Joe passed away in 1982.
Veronica graduated from Campbell Memorial High School and then worked at the General Electric Co. before she became a full time homemaker.
She was a very special mother and she leaves behind two children, her son, Gene and her daughter, Lorraine.
Her sister, Mary Bota, preceded her in death in 1968. She willingly became the mother to her sisters four children and will always be remembered as the special Auntie to Larry, Brenda, Marilyn and Ron. She also leaves behind her daughter-in-law, Judy; her son-in-law, Rick; three grandchildren, Sheila Lamb, Susan Ramsey and Joseph Kjeldsen; and six great-grandchildren, Troy, Anthony, Alexis and Tyler Ramsey and Amber and Cody Lamb.
Also preceding her in death were two infant brothers.
Veronica will always be remembered for all the love, kindness and happiness that she gave to everyone. Major church holidays were always a big celebration and her food offerings were always extraordinary. Known as Vern to her friends, she would help everyone in any way that she could. She would often drive less fortunate people to doctor's appointments and then also help take care of them.
Veronica was a devoted member of St. John the Baptist Church. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and The Infant of Prague Guild. She enjoyed making robes for the Infant of Prague Guild statues that she gave away to many people. She was also an officer with the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association Branch 344 and 257 (Zenska Jednota). The FCLSA awarded to her the honorable 10-M Club. She also was a proud member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Legions of Mary.
The family wishes to sincerely thank Grace Hospice for all their compassion and everything that they helped do for Veronica in her passing on to meet her Savior.

John M. Severn, 62
BOARDMAN John M. Severn, 62, passed away Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was born July 31, 1947 in Youngstown, son to the late John Severn and Mildred (Vid) Severn.
He was the husband of Marjorie (Centrello) Severn, whom he married Sept. 6, 1969.
The family includes wife, Marjorie Severn of Boardman; mother, Mildred Severn of Youngstown; sons, John J. and Katherine Severn of New Middletown, Joseph Steven and Rachelle Severn of Austintown and Matthew Justin Severn of Canfield; sister, Carolyn and Randall Brian of Cranberry, Pa.; brother, Steven and Carmelina Severn of Lyndhurst; grandson, Joseph Michael Severn; granddaughter, Samantha Grace Severn; his niece and nephews, Amanda Severn and Vincent Severn and nephews, Randall (Melissa) Brian and David (Meggan) Brian.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Severn.
John was the first male graduate majoring in the Criminal Justice Program at Youngstown State University in 1971.
John was an Army veteran. He was a member of St. Dominic Church, the Wednesday cleaning crew and the Soup Group at the church and numerous other activities at the church.
He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus. He was employed as an Adult Parole Officer for The State of Ohio. After retirement, John devoted most of his time to helping his parents, seniors and anyone else in the community in their time of need.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, Sept. 23 from 4 to 7 p.m. and Thursday, Sept. 24, from 9 to 9:30 a.m. at Fabrizio Funeral Home, 619 E. Indianola Ave. in Youngstown.
His services will be at St. Dominic Church at 10 a.m. on Sept. 24, 2009.
Sean Trickett, 55
BERLIN CENTER Sean Trickett, 55, passed away unexpectedly early Saturday morning, Sept. 19, 2009, at his home.
Sean was born Aug. 23, 1954 in Youngstown, a son of the late Howard James and Margaret McCusker Trickett, and lived in Berlin Center for the past 20 years.
He was the owner-operator of TriCom Floor Maintenance for over 25 years, and also owned Holiday Golf Carts, which refurbished and sold golf carts.
Sean enjoyed playing darts and was a member of the RC Renegades in the Lake Milton Dart Association. He also enjoyed the outdoors, working on and improving his farm, and organizing family get-togethers.
Mr. Trickett leaves four daughters, Chi Anne Trickett of Austintown, Colleen Trickett of Cuyahoga Falls, and Sarah and Melisa Trickett, both of Berlin Center; his companion, Sandy Bricker, with whom he shared his home and the past six years of his life; three grandchildren, Kailee Mae Mangas, Emma Garzanich and Amelia Kemp; two brothers, James (Mary) Trickett of Columbus and Timothy (Marna) Trickett of Youngstown; and three sisters, Margaret (Paul) Dando of Poland, Ohio, Marybeth (Cathy White) Trickett of Youngstown and Rita (Roy) Banks of Youngstown.
Sean will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Norm Yannucci, 70, who died at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at his sons home.
Norm was born June 7, 1939 in Warren, the son of Luigi Luke and Christina (DiTomaso) (Thomas) Yannucci.
He was a 1957 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and attended Youngstown State University.
Norm was employed at various music stores in the Warren area, where he was a salesman along with being a professional teacher for over 25 years, and had taught elementary band in the Youngstown Catholic Diocese.
Norm played with the Warren Packard Band, along with having numerous bands, The Norman Trio, The Norman Yannucci Big Band Orchestra, and The Norm Yannucci Sixtest, and he also was a song writer and composer of music.
He was a member of the Warren Federation of Musicians, St. Marys Church, did volunteer work for the Uptown Association, and enjoyed walking with his beloved wife, Evelynne.
His wife, the former Evelynne D. Pilitz, whom he married Aug. 29, 1992, died Feb. 21, 2004.
He is survived by his son, Norman E. (Kathy) Yannucci Sr. of Kinsman; five grandchildren, Norman E. Yannucci Jr., Stephanie Christine Profera, Angela (Reed) Camron, Heather Hamilton and Bill (Shannon) Hamilton; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Terry L. Yannucci Sr. of Warren.
Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberley Jarvis; a brother, Eugene Yannucci, who was killed in World War II; and a sister, Shirley Kohanon.
Friends may call on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren.
Burial will take place at Crown Hill Burial Park.
