aF2 team kicks off Kid's Club promotion
BOARDMAN The Mahoning Valley Thunder Kid's Club, sponsored by Sky Bank, will begin with an enrollment party Jan. 27 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Camelot Lanes.
The Kid's Club is open to children ages 6-12; membership is $15 and kids will receive a T-shirt, a Thunder lanyard with member credential, invitations to special events, an e-newsletter and inclusion at activities at Thunder home games.
Proceeds from the enrollment fees will benefit the Youngstown/Mahoning Valley United Way.
The enrollment party is co-sponsored by Comcast Cable, who will have The Cable Guys on hand to meet fans. Camelot Lanes is offering one free game of bowling during the event to kids who enroll, and Boomer, the Thunder's mascot, along with Thunder players will be in attendance.
The Thunder's inaugural season kicks off March 31 against the Tri-Cities (Wash.) Fever on Cortland Banks Field at the Chevrolet Centre.
