LONDON, Ontario John LeClair scored a power-play goal with 4:30 to play and Jocelyn Thibault made 18 saves to help the Pittsburgh Penguins beat the Philadelphia Flyers 2-1 in exhibition play Sunday night at John Labatt Centre.
Pittsburgh's Ryan Stone opened the scoring at 5:24 of the second period, and Philadelphia's Geoff Sanderson tied it on a power play with 3:19 left in the period.
Rookie Martin Houle made 10 saves for the Flyers (1-3-0).
Pittsburgh improved to 2-1-2 in the preseason.

COLUMBUS Rick Nash scored twice and Dan Fritsche and Geoff Platt each scored once as Columbus kept defending Stanley Cup champion Carolina winless in the preseason.
Justin Williams and Rod Brind'Amour scored for Carolina (0-3). John Grahame made 25 saves.
Pascal Leclaire stopped 27 for Columbus (3-3).
Williams' shot from the right circle skimmed off Leclaire's glove on the power play to open the scoring at 5:09 of the second period.
After a Blue Jackets faceoff win, Fritsche beat Grahame with a shot from the low slot at 2:27 of the third period. Nash scored just 1:37 later, also scoring from the slot, with a high wrist shot.
Brind'Amour tied it at 9:03 of third period, jamming home a rebound for another Hurricanes power-play goal.
Columbus responded just 54 seconds later when Platt slid home a centering pass from Alexandre Picard.
Nash scored into an empty net to close the scoring.
