Girard, Hubbard earn key TAC wins
Jackson-Milton and Crestview remain unbeaten in league play.
YOUNGSTOWN Elise Roscoe had 13 kills, 19 points and five aces for the Girard High volleyball team, which defeated Liberty 25-20, 25-13, 25-17 in a Trumbull Athletic Conference game on Tuesday.
Chelsea Guerrieri had eight kills and 10 digs while Ashley Palmer had seven points, an ace and seven digs for the Indians (13-2, 8-2).
For the Leopards (9-4, 5-4), Jessie Szakacs had three kills, 11 points, 13 digs and seven assists while Megan Kay had 18 kills, seven points and seven digs.

HUBBARD Brittany Lange had 13 kills, three blocks and six digs while Sophie Paddock contributed 13 kills, three blocks and 10 points to lead Hubbard (13-2, 9-0 TAC).
Lauren Ferguson chipped in with 32 assists and two aces, Kim Budd added 13 digs and Taylor Gasser 10 points to aid the Eagles.
Lakeview (8-8, 6-3) was led by A'Laura Giesy with seven points, three aces and three blocks, JoAnn Novotny had eight kills and six digs and Haley Bates had 14 assists.

BROOKFIELD Taralee Williams scored 15 points, with three aces, 19 assists and seven digs for the Warriors (8-7, 4-5 TAC). Morgan Bonekovic had 15 points, nine kills, seven aces and six digs and Rachel Baker had five kills and four digs.
Katie Hite led the Golden Flashes (4-10, 0-9) with 16 assists, while Katey Gelet and Amy Allen each had three kills.

NEWTON FALLS Stepfanie Higgins collected 12 kills and 12 digs and Lindsey Higgins had 14 assists and two aces for the Vikings (4-12, 3-6).
For the Tigers (5-10, 1-8), Brittany Hall came up with six kills and Blaine Chapman had 10 assists.

NEW WATERFORD Rachell Storm scored nine points and she had eight kills and two digs to pace the Rebels (14-0) in an Inter Tri-County League game.
Elyse Mongillo had 11 points, 27 assists, four kills, five aces and three digs. Julie Simmons had eight kills, four points and two aces.
Jackie Hatherill led the Clippers with nine kills and six blocks. Emily Fowler scored seven points and had 11 assists. Katie Douglas had nine blocks and four kills. JVs: Crestview 23-25, 27-25, 25-10.

NORTH JACKSON Krista Kiraly scored 16 points, with two aces and 23 digs to spark the Bluejays (10-2, 7-0 ITCL). Jennifer Kolasky had 53 sets and 20 assists. Alyssa Chine had 15 kills.
Katie Wilson led the Trojans (2-9, 1-6) with eight points, eight kills and a ace. Jordan Henderson had eight points, while Briana Jones had 68 sets and eight assists. JVs: Jackson-Milton 25-18, 25-15.

NEW MIDDLETOWN Brittany Scrieber scored 21 points, with three assists and five kills to spark the Tigers (6-3). Whitney Yeager added eight points, with nine kills, 12 blocks and three aces.
Kallie Rogers had 28 assists.
Emily Smith led the Blue Devils with five points, 27 assists, two kills and two blocks. Abby Kibler had seven points, three aces and five kills and Rachel Wycoff had four points, five kills and three aces. JVs: Springfield 25-16, 25-17.

LEETONIA Kailyn Mowery sparked Western Reserve (6-5, 5-3 ITCL) with 33 points and three aces. Kaelyn Hrabak had 14 assists, six kills and three blocks. Kristiana Brown had eight kills and five digs.
Valerie Goerig led the Bears (5-9, 5-4) with 17 points, 16 digs, nine aces and 14 blocks. Emily Goerig had seven kills. Sarah Weikart had 11 blocks and 13 digs.
