Two goals by Mihaly carry Irish
Clay Criss scored West Branch's lone goal in a 1-0 win over Lakeview.
HUBBARD Justin Mihaly scored two goals as Ursuline High defeated Hubbard, 4-2, in a boys soccer game Saturday night.
Also for the Irish (4-5-1), Corey Mihaly and Nick Celio scored one goal each, while Jonathan Eusaino, Vlad Lungu and Corey Mihaly all had assists. John Colla made six saves.
Paul Greef and R.J. Lee each scored a goal for Hubbard (6-3-1). Alex Chick had an assist and Galen Hayek had 14 saves.

West Branch 1, Lakeview 0
BELOIT Clay Criss scored the game's only goal. The Warriors outshot Lakeview, 10-7. West Branch's Chance Young made seven saves, while Greg Pecorelli of Lakeview had nine.
Lordstown 10, Campbell 1
LORDSTOWN Julian Aciesewski had four goals and two assists for Lordstown (8-1-1). Ryan Pal added three goals, while Nate Rech had one goal and three assists. Also for Lordstown, Matt Haskel had one goal and one assist, Brian Whitfield had one goal, Tykis Theofolis had two assists, and Joe Fitzgibon and Ricky Cook had one assist each. Hobie Platt made two saves.
Alex Lopez scored Campbell's goal and he made 16 saves.

Cross country
NILES Jefferson swept the Niles Invitational, winning the boys title 45-70 over Ashtabula Lakeside, and 44-70 over Akron Hoban.
Shane Tagle of Conneaut won the boys race, in 17 minutes, 25 seconds. Maura Bulgrin of Hoban won the girls race in 19:29.
Evan DeChant of Girard was second in the boys race in 17:48, and the Indians' Sarah Mohn was the top area girls finisher, crossing the line sixth in 22:08.
Volleyball
ALLIANCE Amy Scullion had three aces, 27 kills and two blocks, Brittany Gregory three aces, 15 kills and six blocks and Katie Scullion two aces and 14 kills to lead Salem (13-0) to a 22-25, 25-19, 23-25, 25-14, 15-7 win over Alliance.
For Alliance (8-4), Becca Pittenger had 11 kills and 11 digs and Jill Mull 18 kills and 11 digs.
