BOARDMAN — The Phantom Fireworks Bantam A team went 4-0 last weekend in the Fire on the Water Tournament in Cleveland, capturing the championship.
Brennan Allen backstopped the Phantoms to a 4-0 shutout win over the Hillcrest Summits in the opening game.
After a 7-2 win versus the Macomb Stampede, and a 6-2 win over the Shaker Heights Red Raiders, the Phantoms beat the Red Raiders once again 5-2 in the rematch for the championship.
The sweep marked the third consecutive tournament championship the Bantam Phantoms have won this season. Additionally, the team is 3-0-0 in PAHL league play, making their record 15-0-0 on the season.
Jared Taylor's eight goals and three assists led the Phantoms in scoring this weekend, followed closely behind by Zack Jones. Jones notched six goals and four assists over the course of the tournament.
Next up, the Bantams are hosting a showdown between PAHL first place teams, as South Hills comes to the Ice Zone in Boardman on Sunday at 1 p.m.
