Kicking change: Thunder kicker Derek Schorejs was injured in a car accident this week and has been placed on emergency hold. The af2 assigned Jason Swiger as his replacement for Saturday's game against Louisville. "We are very thankful and fortunate that Derek did not sustain serious injuries in his accident, but as a precautionary measure, we have decided to give him the week off to full recover," Thunder coach Mike Hold said. Swiger played football at the University of Akron from 2003-05 and ranks third all-time for Akron career points by a kicker (229). He's also fourth all-time in field goal percentage (66 percent). Against the Fire, Swiger made two extra-point kicks, missed two and had one kickoff go into the stands.
Coming up: Saturday, the Thunder will be home against first-place Wilkes Barre-Scranton. Game time is 7:05 p.m. The Thunder's other home game in May will be May 25 against Manchester.
Attendance: The attendance for Saturday's game was 4,123 in the 6,000-seat Chevrolet Centre.
Thunder leaders: Wide receiver Chris Archie caught eight passes for 109 yards and two touchdowns. DeMarcus Mathes had four receptions for 48 yards and two scores.
