Tiarra Sanders two-goal scorer in Fitch's 2-1 win
Katie Bretz and Breanne Mincher had a pair of goals apiece for Springfield.
CANTON Tiarra Sanders scored twice Wednesday as the Fitch High ((5-7, 3-3 Federal League) girls soccer team defeated Canton GlenOak, 2-1.
Kayla Shuttleworth had the assists and Fitch goalkeeper Cara Calai made eight saves.
Jenny Cutler scored the goal for GlenOak (4-10-1, 1-5) while Abbey McGaugh made six saves.
JVs: Fitch, 4-0.
Mooney 4,
Ursuline 0
BOARDMAN Mimi Vitello scored two goals and Vickie Dreiling and Ashley Cubs netted one each.
Vitello and Cuba had assists.
Mooney (7-2-1) goalkeeper Veronica Skowron made three saves.
For Ursuline (7-5-2), goalkeeper Dana Hinebaugh made five saves.
Springfield 7, Liberty 0
LIBERTY Katie Bretz and Breanne Mincher scored two goals apiece for the Tigers (6-6).
Katie Walker, Amber Uscianowski and Chelsea Paulin added one apiece.
Bretz had four assists while Paulin and Nicole DeSalvo each had one.
Goalkeeper Becca House made 17 saves for the Leopards.

MECCA Erika Pinko had two goals and one assist to lead Maplewood (9-4 and 6-0 Northeastern Athletic Conference).
Tori Spencer also had two goals while Michelle Sloan netted one.
Chelsea Wolfe, Michelle Sloan and Kayleigh Hartman each contributed one assist.
Maplewood goalkeepers Bonnee Clute and Tori Spencer combined for five saves, with Clute making four.
Pymatuning Valley (2-12, 0-6) goalkeeper Jillee Clute made 12 saves.

BRISTOLVILLE Jenna Miller's two goals and two assists led the Braves (6-6-1, 4-2 NAC). Taylor Phllips, Sarah Dunfee and Adrianna Braho also scored.
Sarah Smith had an assist while goalkeepers Katy Dvorak and Kelsey Flowers combined for seven saves.
For Bristol, Trishna Helmick scored two goals while Alyssa Biesy had one plus two assists.
Boys
Crestview 1, Mathews 0
VIENNA Aaron Stewart scored the only goal in the second half for the Rebels (12-2-1).
Crestview had 31 shots on goal, compared to 18 for the Mustangs (4-9-1).
Mustangs goalkeeper Brett Ford made 21 saves, which gives him 338 for the season and 1,123 for his career. He is within seven of the national record for high school goalies.
The Mustangs will host Badger on Monday at 5 p.m.
Lakeview 2, Newton Falls 0
CORTLAND Jon Mullins and Chris Schulller for the Bulldogs (9-3-2). Neal Ormeord earned an assist while goalkeeper Greg Pecorelli made three saves.
Newton Falls (4-6-3) goalkeeper Kurt Ellis made 10 saves.
