Slippery Rock suffers 81-65 loss



SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — Glenn Reepmeyer scored 19 points and had eight rebounds, both team highs, but Slippery Rock lost to Millersville, 81-65, in a PSAC crossover game Sunday.

Kenny Smith added 15 points for The Rock (2-4), which trailed 38-29 at halftime. Brandon Thompson scored 13 points and David White had nine assists.

Millersville (6-1) was led by Charlie Parker with 24 points, Reggie Bates with 18 and Greg Testa with 16.

Edinboro 75, West Chester 64

EDINBORO, Pa. — Curtis Ingram (Mooney) scored 14 points and had seven rebounds for Edinboro (4-2) in a PSAC crossover game.

Mount Union 71, Muskingum 64

ALLIANCE — Chris Switzer scored 20 points, while Stu Anglum had 18 points and 15 rebounds for Mount Union, which won its Ohio Athletic Conference opener Saturday night.

Sam King finished with 12 points and seven assists for the Purple Raiders (3-1, 1-0 OAC), while Chris Crawford scored 10 points.

Muskingum (4-1, 0-1) was led by Trevor Scott with 18 points. Pat Byrne added 15 points and Brandon Todd scored 14.

Women

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — Slippery Rock shot less than 31 percent from the floor and committed 20 turnovers, but did enough defensively to turn back Millersville, 46-41, in a PSAC crossover game Sunday.

Dana Stewart scored 15 points to lead The Rock (2-4), while Nijha McNeely had 11 points and a game-high eight rebounds. Slippery Rock shot only 30.8 percent (16-of-25) from the field. Millersville (3-2) was led by Jamika Rehm, Ashley Romanoski and Kari Cover, all with six points.

Case Western Reserve 70,
Grove City 58

CLEVELAND — Dana Dempsey scored 18 points as Case Western Reserve kept Grove City winless Saturday night.

Ashleigh Tondo (McDonald) added 17 points for Case Western Reserve (5-1), while Maria Jackson added 10.

Grove City (0-5) was led by Shannon Overdorff, with 21 points, while Rachel McCoy added 13 and Elyse Bogusz had 12. Krista Beechy and McCoy each had eight rebounds.
