Ohio State women stay unbeaten, gain final
COLUMBUS (AP) Marscilla Packer scored 22 points and No. 15 Ohio State advanced to the final of its Buckeye Classic tournament with an 88-26 victory over Colgate on Saturday.
Packer made eight of 12 shots from the field, including five of eight 3-pointers.
Star Allen added 13 points and Jantel Lavender 10.
Caitlin Gillard had seven points for Colgate (0-4), which has lost its four games this season by an average of 421/2 points.
Ohio State (5-0) will face No. 24 Auburn (5-0) in the tournament championship today. Auburn beat Winston-Salem 70-37 Saturday.
The Buckeyes led Colgate 42-13 at halftime.
It got worse for Colgate when the Buckeyes went on a 30-5 run early in the second half. Colgate shot just 18.6 percent (8-of-43) for the game.
