Nesbitt paces Rondinelli's 5-1 victory
He pitched the final six innings and also homered against R&J Trucking.
STRUTHERS Cory Nesbitt tossed the final six innings and added a solo home run as Rondinelli Tuxedo defeated R & J Trucking, 5-1, in Class B action Tuesday at Cene Park.
Nesbitt also had a sacrifice fly as he allowed one run on seven hits with five strikeouts for Rondinelli (5-0).
Tony Brunetti added a triple, and a single for Rondinelli.
For R & J Trucking (4-2), Joey Wielbruda had two hits while Lou Coppola had four strikeouts.
Roth Brothers 2, Simon Roofing 1
Tim McBride's single drove in Ryan Stolte who had doubled with the go-ahead run in the bottom of the fifth inning for Roth Brothers (1-5).
Pat Mulligan pitched a complete game for the win, coming up with seven strikeouts .
Marc Novotny and Matt Durkin had two hits each for Simon Roofing (1-5).
Ryan Grucecki suffered the mound loss. He had seven strikeouts and allowed just two hits in six innings of work.
Action 5, Express 4
Action Physical Therapy scored single runs in each of the first five innings as they improve to 2-3. Youngstown Express is 0-6.
Kent Denbow allowed no hits for the first 41/3 innings for Action before Dan Gallagher tripled in the fifth for the Express. Denbow went six innings for the win as he had eight strikeouts.
Josh Fyffe pitched a perfect seventh inning for the save. Dan Keil had a single and a triple for the winners with Josh Harkulich adding a pair of singles.
Anthony Mann (0-3) allowed only three earned runs with six strikeouts as he went the distance in defeat.
Sugar Excavating 7, Wharmby 2
Eric Pirtz hit a two-run home run in the top of the first inning for Dave Sugar Excavating (3-2).
It was Pirtz' second home run of the season. Jeff Musick added a solo home run leading off the fifth inning. Rich Toal tossed six scoreless innings for the win, striking out six. He also added a double at the plate.
Cory Johnson had a pair of hits for Wharmby (3-2).
