Anderson Andy S. McGee
NORTH JACKSON There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. James Church for Anderson Andy S. McGee, who passed away Tuesday evening at Briarfield at the Ridge.
Andy was born Feb. 25, 1939 in Timmonsville, S.C., a son of the late Woodrow Wilson McGee and Ruby Lee (Anderson) McGee.
He was an electrician for General Motors for 19 years. For the past 30 years he was the owner of AM Door and Supply Co. in North Jackson and enjoyed building many commercial buildings.
He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in North Jackson, a member of the former Meander Masonic Lodge in North Jackson, and enjoyed golfing, flying, and shooting pool.
Andy was a lifetime member of the Board of Directors of the Mahoning Valley Home Builders Association and a Spike member of the National Home Builders Association.
He is survived by his wife, the former Loretta Sklepko; two sons, Anderson John (Roberta) McGee of Niles and Bart (Sherry) McGee of North Jackson; three sisters, Edith (John) Orlando of Liberty, Jeanette McGee of Margate, Fla., and Dianne (Bill) Maluvac of Porter; six brothers, Woodrow W. (Sue) McGee of LaPorte, Ind., James (Kelly) McGee of Bellbrook, Michael (Cecilia) McGee of Australia, Dr. Gerald (Julie) McGee of Muncie, Ind., Mark (Amy) McGee of Florence, Ky., and Richard (Judy) of Westville, Ind.; and four grandchildren, Anderson John Jr., Shannon, Bart Jr., and Brittany.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel and from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the church prior to services.
