Betty J. Brodie, 81

NILES – Betty J. Brodie, 81, of 1758 Taft Ave., died at 7:06 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, at her residence.
She was born March 15, 1925 in Kettanning, Pa., to Robert and Elizabeth (Barnhart) Crytzer.
She married John F. Brodie Aug. 31, 1946, and he died Jan. 2, 1985.
A graduate of Kettanning High School, she was a longtime member of the Niles First Presbyterian Church and its Women’s Circle. She especially enjoyed activities with her children and their families.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandra (Wayne) Wilson, with whom she lived; a son, John T. “Tom” (Shirley) Brodie of Leesburg, Fla.; four grandchildren, Tracy (Paul) Panic of Mineral Ridge, Jonathan Brodie of Mecca, Thomas Brodie of Niles, Michael (Tami) Edwards of Howland; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Myrna (Jack) Steffy of Kettanning; and a brother, Dale (Wilma) Barnhart of Worthington, Pa.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother and a sister.
Calling hours will be Monday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home.
There will be funeral services at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Henry Pierce officiating.
Burial will be at Pineview Memorial Park.
