Prophet Clyde Hudson, 51
YOUNGSTOWN Prophet Clyde Hudson, 51, of 143 W. Boston Ave., died Dec. 28, 2006 at The Cleveland Clinic following an extended illness.
He was born Dec. 25, 1955 in Greensboro, Ga., the son of Evelyn Hudson.
He was retired from Delphi Packard, where he was a harness assembler.
He was the pastor of Chief Cornerstone Church. As a young man, he joined Valley Baptist Church, attended Mt. Calvary Ministries and Apostolic Over Coming Holiness Church and Positive Impact Ministries of Roanoke, Va.
Prophet Hudson is survived by his wife, Betty S. Hudson of Youngstown; mother, Evelyn Hudson Robbins of Youngstown; three sons, David Brantley of Warren, Danny Hudson of Leavittsburg and Phillip Hudson of Youngstown; a daughter, Charity A. Hudson of Youngstown; two sisters, Beatrice Hudson and Carolyn Hudson, both of Youngstown; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral will be at noon Wednesday at Valley Baptist Church; Elder James Hawkins will offer the eulogy and Rev. Larry Scoot will officiate.
Prophet Hudson will lie in state from 10 a.m. to noon at the church.
Burial will be in Tod Homested Cemetery.
