Robert D. “Bob” Patella Sr., 56

BOARDMAN – There will be memorial services at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Rossi Bros. Funeral Home in Boardman for Robert D. “Bob” Patella Sr., 56, who passed away suddenly Friday from an apparent heart attack.
Bob will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends.
He was born Sept. 12, 1950 in Youngstown, the son of Chester and Lucille (Marenkovic) Patella.
A 1968 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, Bob was employed at Extrusions Dye Company as a dye cutter and then at Senior Aero Space in San Diego, where he retired from in 2000. He enjoyed bird watching, fishing, collecting music, walking with his wife in Mill Creek Park, old cars and was a huge football fan.
Bob was a very humble man and was always a gentleman, but had his heart broken when his son became sick.
He leaves behind his wife, the former Susan Uhlar, whom he married Sept. 18, 1971; a son, Robert D. Patella Jr. of Boardman; a brother, Daniel (Joanne) Patella of Youngstown; and his cherished pet cat, Frisky.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Charlotte Ciccotelli.
Friends may call from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
