Robin Lynn (Martsolf) Kalaman, 52
GARDNERVILLE, NEV. Robin Lynn (Martsolf) Kalaman, 52, passed away Friday, Dec. 19, at the Carson-Tahoe Regional Medical Center, with her husband, son, and parents at her side.
Mrs. Kalaman was born Jan. 28, 1954 in Darlington, Pa., the daughter of Willard and Colleen (Strawn) Martsolf. The family moved to Ohio where she spent her school years in Damascus.
She graduated from West Branch High School in Beloit in 1972. In January of 1975, she moved to Florida, where she met Bob Kalaman. The couple was married in Damascus on April 20, 1980. In June of 1980, the couple moved to Nevada. Mrs. Kalaman worked at the Lakeside Inn as a bartender for 20 years and enjoyed her time at work socializing. Her hobbies included reading, watching movies, collecting figurines, doing yoga and spending time with her son.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Kalaman of Gardnerville; a son, Derek Kalaman of Gardnerville; her parents, Willard and Colleen Martsolf of Beloit; a brother, Bruce E. Marsolf of Beloit; a sister, Mrs. Jeff (Cheryl A.) Dillon of Dover, Del.; also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews, and three nieces, Mehgann Dillon, Rhiannon Dillon and Shannen Dillon, all of Dover.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and a niece, Faxxon Marie Dillon.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, Jan. 20, at the Damascus First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Michael Grant, Dr. Dale Jorgenson, Pastor Paul Hoy Jr. and Pastor John Dodds officiating.
A time of visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church.
A private burial will take place at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Robin Lynn Kalaman Memorial Fund at the Damascus First United Methodist Church.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen Funeral Home.
