Robert R. “Jonesy” Jones, 57

MINERAL RIDGE – Robert R. “Jonesy” Jones, 57, of Mineral Ridge, died Friday, January 12, at Hospice House in Youngstown.
Mr. Jones was born July 25, 1949 in Youngstown, a son of Myron S. and Dorothy Gray Jones. He was employed by WCI Steel Co. in Youngstown as a bundler for 15 years. A graduate of Girard High School in 1967, he was a member of the Steelworkers Union and was an avid Browns and Indians fan.
Besides his mother of Austintown, he is survived by his wife, Anne M. Kardas Jones, whom he married August 7, 1976; twin daughters, Margaret E. and Megan A. Jones, both of Petersburg; and a sister, Ruth Clinton of Girard; five nephews; three great-nephews; one great-niece; and one great-great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond W. Jones; and nephew, Russell Clinton.
Funeral services will be held on Monday January 15 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Mineral Ridge, preceded by prayers at 9:30 a.m. at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard, where visitation will be held today from 5 to 8 p.m.
