Virginia E. Albrecht, 89

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP – Virginia E. Albrecht, 89, died Tuesday at Liberty Health Care Center.
Ms. Albrecht was born Feb. 21, 1917 in Youngstown to the late Frank and Blanche Haney McMullen.
She was a member of the Churchill Methodist Church and was a worker for the board of elections for more than 25 years. She was also a member of Order of Eastern Star Miriam Chapter No. 278 of Youngstown, Clotilda Club and the Nor-Hill Garden Club. She enjoyed flower arranging, crafts and cards. She enjoyed babysitting many years for many families in the area.
She is survived by her two children, Carol (Patrick) Pinney of Liberty Township and Fred (Connie) Albrecht of Henderson Nev.; a brother, Edwin McMullen of Warren; two grandchildren, Laura Pinney and Michelle Castro; and a great-grandson, Andrew.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick C., whom she married in 1939, and who died in 1966, and a sister, Thelma Ohmer.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Churchill Methodist Church, where visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Material contributions may be made to the church memorial fund.
Arrangements are being handled by the Blackstone Funeral Home.
Internment will be at Forest Lawn.
