Ann M. Matasic, 96
CANFIELD Funeral services will be Monday at 9:45 a.m. at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home, and at 10:30 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Croatian Catholic Church, for Mrs. Ann M. Matasic, 96, formerly of Youngstowns West Side, who entered into rest Thursday evening at Omni Manor Nursing Home.
Ann was born Sept. 8, 1911, in Midland, Pa., the daughter of the late John and Anna (Popovacki) Brozic.
She was a homemaker and a member of the church.
Her husband, Michael R. Matasic, whom she married April 18, 1936, passed away May 1, 1993.
Mrs. Matasic will be sadly missed by many, including her daughters, Geri (John) Tomko of Canfield and Margaret (William) Pennell of Chardon; a brother, George Brozic of Las Vegas; two sisters, Agnes Nemec of Boardman and Mildred Badjun of Struthers; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Ann was preceded in death by four brothers, Thomas, Phil, John and Robert Brozic; and three sisters, Caroline Zitnik, Dorothy Brozic and Mary Parks.
Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family wishes to thank everyone at Omni Manor Nursing Home for all the care and compassion given to Ann.
