Laura DiDomenico, 79

NILES – Laura DiDomenico, 79, died at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, at St. Joseph Health Center Eastland in Warren.
She was born Dec. 19, 1927 in Youngstown, the daughter of James and Pauline LaCivita Pizzola.
Laura was a 1946 graduate of East High School, a member of the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Niles, and the Monday Night Rosary Group. She enjoyed baking and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Marino DiDomenico, whom she married Nov. 18, 1950, died July 4, 2001.
She will be deeply missed by a son, Carmen (Ann) DiDomenico of Niles; a daughter, Phyllis (Brian) Lucas of Girard; three brothers, John (Teresa) Pizzola of St. Lucie, Fla., Felix (Ann Marie) Pizzola of Struthers, and Joseph (Barbara) Pizzola of Canfield; three grandchildren, Kristine (Brad) Poppell, Michael Match and Colleen DiDomenico; and two great-grandchildren, Bradley and James.
She was preceded in death by a brother, James Pizzola.
Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles, where the Mt. Carmel Bereavement Ministry will conduct prayers at 6:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Niles, with Fr. Larry Frient officiating, preceded by a 9:30 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Niles City Cemetery.
