Mary Louise Zuccone, 85

YOUNGSTOWN – A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, at SS. Cyril & Methodius Church for Mary Louise Zuccone, 85, who passed away Friday evening, Dec. 26.
Mary Louise was born Aug. 15, 1923 in Youngstown, the daughter of Henry and Mary (Strojny) Hetner.
She was a registered nurse with the former Youngstown Hospital Association and also taught Nursing School at Forum Health Northside Medical Center. Mary Louise was a member of SS. Cyril & Methodius Church and St. Dominic Church, its Infant Jesus of Prague and Altar & Rosary Society.
She was a 1941 graduate of Wilson High School and 1944 graduate of the Youngstown Hospital School of Nursing. She graduated from Youngstown State University in 1960 and taught at St. Nicholas Elementary School, until retiring in 1980.
Mary Louise served her country two years during WWII as a nurse lieutenant with the U.S. Army Nurse Corps.
Her husband, Dominic Zuccone, whom she married Feb. 3, 1951, passed away Feb. 12, 1996.
Mary Louise will always be remembered by her son, Dominic and his wife, Carol Zuccone, of Houston; a granddaughter, Erin; and a sister, Kathleen Arbie of Boardman.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Agnes Burns.
Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the church.
