Roy P. Cherol Sr., 82

YOUNGSTOWN – Roy P. Cherol Sr., 82, died Friday, July 24, 2009, at Omni Manor in Youngstown.
He was born Feb. 12, 1927 in Youngstown, the son of the late Roy Cherol and Rachel (Tomaino) Cherol.
Family includes a son, Roy Cherol of Springfield and brothers, Jim Cherol and Joe Cherol, both of Youngstown.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John Cherol, Louis Cherol, Paul Cherol, Frank Cherol, Victor Cherol and Anthony Cherol.
He was a member of St. Anthony Church, a 1945 graduate of Chaney High School, a Navy veteran and was employed at Cherol’s Market. He also tended bar at Cherol’s Bar and was a mechanic for Cherol’s Motors.
Calling hours will be Sunday, July 26, from 4 to 7 p.m. and Monday from 9 to 9:30 a.m. at the Fabrizio Funeral Home, 619 E. Indianola Ave. in Youngstown.
His services will be at St. Anthony Church at 10 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2009.
