Christopher A. Fitzer, 51

NORTH LIMA – Funeral services will be Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home, 4221 Market St. in Boardman for Christopher A. Fitzer, 51, who died Monday morning, Aug. 31, 2009.
He was born Nov. 18, 1957 in Youngstown, the son of the late William and Joanne Dimeno Fitzer.
He graduated from Boardman High School in 1976 and completed a business management degree at Youngstown State University in 1983.
Christopher started working part-time at Natural Health Foods & Barbell Center during his senior year of high school, and in 1992 he purchased the business.
He enjoyed golfing, woodworking and wood and stone work for his wife’s business, Farmer Dave’s Gift and Garden Shop.
Christopher is survived by his wife, the former Arleen Utsinger, whom he married on Dec. 4, 1999; his children, Abby Fitzer of Pittsburgh, David Fitzer at home, Donald (Missy) Kerens of Austintown, Richard (Dottie) Kerens of Champion and Kristopher Kerens of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; two grandchildren, Carson and Haley; and two brothers, Max Fitzer of Boardman and David Fitzer of Orlando, Fla.
Besides his parents, Christopher was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Angelina.
Friends may call today, Sept. 2, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home, 4221 Market St. in Boardman and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
