C. Dean Bruce, 75

HUBBARD – There will be services at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home for C. Dean Bruce, 75, of 601 W. Park Ave. No. 102, who passed away Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Dean was born July 11, 1931 in Aliquippa, Pa., a son of Kenneth and Marie Hamilton Bruce, and was raised by Fred and Grace Miller of Youngstown.
He worked for Shane Security in Youngstown, retiring in 1989. He was a member of the Liberty Presbyterian Church, and several different organizations, including the American Legion in Hubbard where he was former vice commander, Hubbard Christians in Action, and the Hubbard Food Bank. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict.
He leaves his wife, Rita Lewis Richmond, whom he married July 3, 1982; two daughters, Regina (John Sr.) Carson of Austintown and Rebecca (Ray) Bruner-Rackoff of Hubbard; brothers and sisters, Jack (Rita) Bruce of Aliquippa, Kermit (Linda) Evans of Rochester, N.Y., James (Frieda) Evans of Dayton, Anna Marie (Bill) Kimbull of Wellston, Sandra Evans of Wellston, Ronald (Betty) Bruce of Darlington, Pa., and Debbie (Mark) Kiss of Aliquippa; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris) Conway, Vinny Bruner, John (Paula) Carson Jr. and Kimberly Gadd; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Marie Bruce and Fred and Grace Miller who raised him; a brother, Kenneth Bruce; and a son-in-law, Vince Bruner.
Calling hours will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
