AUSTINTOWN - Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m.at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, and at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for Rosemarie Shanabarger, 64, who passed away early Saturday morning at her home after an extended illness.
Rosemarie was born May 4, 1942, in Youngstown, the daughter of Homer L. and June P. Carroll.
She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, and will be remembered by her family as a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Her husband, Ronald H. Shanabarger, whom she married June 23, 1961, died Jan. 12, 2004.
She is survived by two daughters, June Marie (Gary) Bohr of Austintown, and Rose Marie (Tim) Phenicie of Suffolk, Va.; two sons, Ronald H. (Meri) Shanabarger Jr. of Austintown, and Donald D. (Maria) Shanabarger of Mt. Airy, Md.; two sisters, JoAnn (Barry) Claycomb of Youngstown, and Debbie Miller of Mineral Ridge; three brothers, George W. (Marilyn) Emerick of New Springfield, Albert C. (Diane) Emerick of Youngstown, and Michael J. (Nancy) Emerick of Austintown; and 11 grandchildren, Timmy, BriAnne, Ryan, Erica, Gary, Donald, Christopher, Taylor, Matthew, Austin and Ike.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley 5190 Market St., Boardman, OH 44512.
