Mary Alyce Hanawalt, 81

KINSMAN – Mary Alyce Hanawalt, 81, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, at Park Vista Retirement Community in Youngstown.
She was born March 29, 1925, in Warren to Earl and Elza (Trumbull) Wilson.
A long time Kinsman resident, Mrs. Hanawalt had lived in Youngstown for the past six years. She was a member of the Kinsman Presbyterian Church, where she served as a ruling elder and on the Board of Trustees. Her hobbies included sewing.
Mrs. Hanawalt married Dr. Russell A. Hanawalt, D.V.M., on July 20, 1946, and he died June 21, 1999.
Also preceding her in death is her sister, Minnie Almburg.
She is survived by her two sons, Timothy W. Hanawalt of Cortland and Dr. Martin E. Hanawalt of Findlay; two brothers, Eugene Wilson and Carl Wilson, both of Cortland; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
There will be a funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12, at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main St. in Kinsman, with Rev. Larry Myers officiating.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery.
